Hello boys and girls and welcome once again to another of our weekly MMOG quizzes! As you know, we here at The Drew Wood Quiz Power Hour (which is what I'm calling it today) occasionally pump out a weekly quiz based on a specific game. With 2011 here in full force and the major releases that seemed so far away a short while ago now seem to be just around the corner. To celebrate, I'll be doing a Quiz this week centered around one of those major releases: Star Wars: The Old Republic.
While I am young enough to have missed the original Star Wars trilogy's full glory in theatres (I was born shortly before Return of the Jedi first hit silver screens), my love of the trilogy knows no bounds. It's why I played Knights of the Old Republic, and it's why I'll be trying The Old Republic. So sit back with a cup of hot cocoa, relax, put on your favorite John Williams score (might I suggest Empire Strikes Back?) and sink into that mystical world a long time ago, in a galaxy far...far away.
Q: What is the name of the tyrannical Sith Lord whom we first caught a glimpse of kicking all sorts of Jedi behind in the first cinematic trailer for the game, entitled "Deceived"?
The shadowy, mysterious Darth Malgus first appeared in the trailer and has become a fully fleshed out character within the Star Wars universe in such a short time.
Q: What are the names of the two webcomics that are being produced by LucasArts, Bioware and Dark Horse Comics that set up the story leading into the game?
The two webcomics are "Star Wars: The Old Republic: Threat of Peace" and "Star Wars: The Old Republic: Blood of the Empire".
Q: What are the eight revealed classes for Star Wars: The Old Republic?
Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent, Sith Inquisitor and Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular.
Q: On what day was Star Wars: The Old Republic announced?
October 21, 2008
Q: How is crafting represented in Star Wars: The Old Republic?
Crafting is represented by Crew Skills in the game, wherein your companions carry out gathering and crafting tasks concurrently with the players questing within game. Crafting skills are for the creation of items, gathering skills are used to gather resources out in the world, and mission skills allow the companions to perform acts on the player's behalf.
Q: What is the name of the Jedi Master, who, on the Bioware website, provides us with the timeline Holorecords?
Master Gnost Dural
So that wraps up our quiz for this week. We'll be back next week with another quiz all loaded and ready to go for you here at MMORPG.com. Do you have a suggestion for the subject of next week's The Drew Wood Quiz Power Hour? Let me know in the comments and I might just use it! Until next time, Peace Out Y'all!
