Good day, one and all, and welcome again to this week's edition of the Quiz! Before we dive right into this week's, however, I did want to address a few concerns over last week's Quiz, THE GARRIOTT ASSESSMENT! Yes, I admit my mistake, Lord British was in fact a part of the Ultima series. Additionally, for those who were wondering, I steered away from the original Ultima series games because, well, they aren't MMOs, and I wanted to stay in our purview here. Now that that's out of the way, let's get on to this week!
With the launch of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm yesterday, I figured what better subject for our weekly quiz then Expansion Packs! So sit back, enjoy and let me know what you think in our forums!
Q: World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade launched to an audience of players who were hungry for something new on January 16th, 2007. It launched with two new playable races and an increased level cap. What were they, both the races and the cap?
Q: EVE Online has had a slew of Expansions since its launch in 2003. The second release, which the developers consider to be the first major game expansion, added multi-level “Deadspace” scenarios, improved gameplay and a branch out of new environments and ships. What was it called, and when was it released?
Q: City of Heroes: Going Rogue launched this past August. What is the name of neutral dimension in which players can play until level 20 before they have to make a choice as to whether to go Good or Evil?
Q: Which Everquest II expansion pack saw players get Airship transport between lands, a bear mount, and the new deities Rodcet Nife and Anashti Sul, amongst other add-on content?
Q: Only one of the two active and one forthcoming Lord of the Rings Online Expansions included the addition of more classes to the mix. Which expansion, of the three, includes them, and for bonus points what were they?
Q: What is the name and release date of the Star Wars Galaxies expansion pack that indirectly alienated the games hardcore player base, after the entire character development system was revamped within weeks of its release?
And thus concludes our quiz for this week. In the meantime, keep those pencils sharp. As always, we will have a quiz next Wednesday.
Peace out, y'all!
