Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Anvil Empires heads underground, Coreborn is about to become Coredead, and The Quinfall says NO to buying Beta keys. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Devblog #15 is out and covers some of the features the team is currently working on. The blog covers the Underworld, which is where a new mining game will reside. The next test won’t have everything the Underworld offers, but there will be caves to explore. The blog also gives details on catapults, combat updates, and territory ownership.

BitCraft

A new test session went live this week, and the patch notes are full of QoL updates and bug fixes. There are also new recipes to learn, two new deployables to facilitate setting up trades and storage without a land claim, and the new Empire feature.

Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Coreborn hadn’t found a large player base since its release. Coreborn was Blankhans first title, and it appears that it will now be its last. The studio announced that it will be closing down later this year.

Corepunk

Corepunk’s Alpha #3 finished up on Thursday and pre-orders are now available on the Corepunk website. Three tiers are available for purchase, ranging from $37 to $59.

Dual Universe

Kickstarter backers will be happy to know that the production of all physical rewards has been completed. Silver tier packages have already shipped, and the remaining tiers will be shipping very soon.

Ember Sword

Along with the start of Closed Beta, Ember Sword is partnering with Forge for its first Airdrop of 3M $EMBER

Embers Adrift

The first (annual?) Summer Celebration is now live in Embers Adrift. During the event, the game will be 50% off. New content will also be available in game.

Eterspire

Eterspire released a new Q3 Roadmap this week.

Fractured Online

The launch patch has been released on Genesis. The new launch server is still set to launch with the update on July 17th.

Havenhold

Havenhold has released a new video that covers the feedback from Alpha 2.

Monsters & Memories

Update 42: May & June 2024 has been published. The post welcomes two new team members, provides some info about the June playtest, and has a healthy dose of artwork along with the usual tech update.

Nightingale

A new creature blog has been published that covers everything you need to know about Sun Giants.

Once Human

Once Human has officially launched. The game’s Terms of Service has everyone going crazy, and a review bomb campaign is underway.

Project Gorgon

The Summer 2024 Add-on Package is now available on the Gorgon Shop.

Prosperous Universe

Michi talks about patch provisioning in Development Log #442.

The Quinfall

A new video was released ahead of the start of Closed Beta 2. Beta Key raffles have been seen on The Quinfall Discord. Along with the raffles, there have been illegal sales of the Beta Keys, and the devs are aggressively banning all involved accounts as they are identified.

Ravendawn

A VOD of last week's Horizon’s Call livestream is now available for anyone who missed it.

Scars of Honor

The July Development Update is available for your viewing pleasure. If you don’t feel like watching the two-hour video, you can just read the recap post.

Soul Kingdoms

You can catch some highlights from the recent playtest in the video below.

Zenith: Nexus

It was announced that Zenith will be entering maintenance mode. The August update will be the last major update to the game, but the servers will remain up and major bugs will continue to be addressed.
