Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Palia heads to the Elderwood, Fractured Online outlines its upcoming closure, and Realm of the Mad God has a big sale. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

There is a new gameplay trailer showing combat, creatures, and player-created possibilities.

Dragon and Home

Update 2.13.0.0 is now live. The update includes a new map: Mountville Town, a new collecting element: Landscape Scroll, and the Temple Fair.

Embers Adrift

Using legacy logins will no longer receive subscriber benefits. You must link your Embers Adrift account to your Steam account.

Fractured Online

The current version of Fractured Online will officially be shut down on June 15th. The relaunch of the improved version is expected to take place in Q1 of 2026, with community testing to begin in Q3 of 2025.

Ilysia

All remaining Kickstarter backer keys have been released. If you haven’t claimed your key yet, you can find it in your MagePortal account.

Palia

Patch 0.191: The Elderwood Expansion has gone live. The expansion coincides with Palia’s launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Elderwood is an all-new adventure zone, complete with a new chapter of the main story, new quests, a new Villager, and a bunch of new collectibles. A new roadmap has also been teased.

Project Gorgon

The Project Gorgon email support system, which has been offline for the last couple of weeks, is now back online. The team is working through the backlog of tickets as quickly as possible.

Prosperous Universe

Development Blog #483 covers a new motion component to assign fuel contractors.

Realm of the Mad God

All DLC is currently on sale for 40% off on Steam. The sale runs through May 20th.

Reign of Guilds

Update 0.95.336 went live this week. The update includes Tutorials 2.0, movement speed changes, map/compass markers, and much more.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands

Update 2.3.388 is now live. The update adds a new training arena, 15 new mount skins, and other improvements.
