Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week was pretty quiet overall. A few test servers were spun up for some last-minute player feedback before some major updates go live, and Spring has arrived a few weeks early in some MMO universes. There is some other stuff going on as well, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Aether Story
Henry (the creator of Aether Story) posted a new devblog to the Aether Story Discord. In the blog, he discusses the roadblocks he has encountered while working on the World Map revamp, followed by a short list of goals for March.

Broken Ranks
Are you having issues with the seasonal rewards? Whitemoon will be pushing out an update to resolve the problem on Monday, March 6th.
The Cycle: Frontier
The Cycle’s public test server went live on Thursday, giving players a chance to check out the changes coming in Season 3. Players who successfully evac at least 10 times during the test will be rewarded with a special Banner when Season 3 begins. You better hurry, though, the test ends on Monday.
Foxhole
It’s almost update time for Foxhole. The devs will be holding a livestream on Twitch to preview Update 52 on Tuesday, March 7th, at 2:00pm ET.
Genfanad
Genfanad got an early Spring with the release of this week’s update. The update introduced Blooms, nature spirits that can reward players with the limited resource, Dew.
Gloria Victis
Update 351 is the first regular update since launch and marks a return to the regular development cycle for Black Eye Games. The update’s title didn’t notate it as Weekly Update, so we’ll have to wait and see if BEG can maintain their weekly schedule or not.
Mad World
Claim your character name by pre-registering on the Mad World website. Pre-registration also rewards you with some individual and group goal goodies, so make sure your friends sign up too!
OrbusVR
The annual Spring Festival will return to OrbusVR on March 14th. Part 2 of the 5th Anniversary Celebration questline will also be released at the same time.
Profane
Profane has posted an updated Alpha Roadmap. More and more green every month!
Prosperous Universe
Along with Development Log #375, release notes were posted for the maintenance update scheduled for March 8th. Name THAT Planet Round 8 has also begun.
Ravendawn
During last weekend’s Livestream, it was announced that Open Beta for Ravendawn would begin on March 30th. While access to Open Beta will be free, there is an Early Access Pass that will grant access two days early. Another preview of Ravencards was posted this week, showing off the Protection Archetype.
Realm of the Mad God
The Alien Invasion is back and runs through march 13th.
