Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Broken Ranks moves ahead with a server merge, Ethyrial (image above) continues making improvements, and Palia has a big announcement. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

A new roadmap has been posted for the remaining Pre-Alpha Phase 5 playtests for this year. Looks like we still have three minor and one major test before the new year.

BitCraft

What’s more fun than fishing in an MMO? Fishing with a friend in an MMO. There is also a “Create Your Own BitCraft Mask” contest underway on the BitCraft Discord.

Broken Ranks

After listening to the community, the proposed server merge for Dramon, Kahiris, Rylia, and Thaas will happen on October 24-30th. The new server will be named Wyvern. In other Broken Ranks news, the inaugural Tournament League has finished, and a new season is underway.

Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore

Coreborn’s weekly livestream is full of roadmap nuggets this week. You can watch the entire stream on Twitch if you missed it.

The Day Before

Did you forget that The Day Before is set to launch in a couple of weeks? I know I did. Thankfully, Lauren Beeler-Beistad over at GameRant reminded me about the upcoming launch with an article about how the silence from the developer is just a precursor to yet another delay.

Dual Universe

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Dual Universe, the space MMO is currently 30% off. The sale ends on October 26th.

Elethor

Monday’s update, v35a, was packed with changes to mining, rotating global event buffs, and more.

Ember Sword

To help prepare everyone for The Ultra Deep playtest next week - the developers had a couple of posts to further explain the four weapon types and three armor sets that a character can use. There was also a Reddit Q&A with Game Director, Maxim Zimnukhov, to answer additional community questions about the test.

Embers Adrift

If you missed the dev livestream last week, an edited version is available on YouTube.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

The Ethyrial team continues to push out hotfixes to improve their MMO, hoping to draw players back in after their abysmal launch. This week alone, there were five hotfixes covering a wide variety of changes. It is good to see the team continuing to improve the game when so many other teams have called it quits this year.

Foxhole

If you are interested in concept art, a new blogpost is full of Naval Warfare art for your viewing pleasure.

Genfanad

Genfanad kicked off its TCG Closed Beta on Friday. The test is for all Kickstarter and Patreon supporters.

Hordes.io

A Twitter post on Friday puts November 4th as a potential date for update .50 to hit the PTR.

Mad World

The weekly maintenance patch on October 19th added event indicators on the world map. I know when I clicked on the link announcing a “World Map Update,” I was expecting something bigger.

Monsters & Memories

Monsters & Memories underwent a website refresh this week. You can check out the new look here.

Palia

It was announced this week that Palia is headed to the Epic Games Store on October 24th. There is a blog post covering some common FAQs about the move.

Prosperous Universe

Development Log #406 is short and sweet.

Realm of the Mad God

Update 4.0.3.0 is here, bringing Halloween to RotMG once again.

Villagers & Heroes

The patch notes for Update 5.13.3 were posted this week and the patch went live on Monday, followed by a hotfix on Tuesday to fix a major bug that found its way into the code.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands

Update 2.2.350 went live on Tuesday. The major update includes a new witchcraft profession and a bunch of additions to support the new profession.

Zenith: The Last City

Update 2 for Might and Mastery went live on Friday.
