Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Corepunk delays its server wipe, Dreamworld prepares for a limited Steam build test, and Zenith pushes out its final content update. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

How much land did you acquire during the BitCraft Alpha 2? The odds are that you didn’t come close to the Whispering Wastes Empire, which held over 16% of the map and had 1348 territories under its control.

City of Titans

Check out the new video showing off some new animations being worked on under UE5.

Corepunk

Corepunk continues to hunt down bugs as they work towards Early Access.  A recent post notes the planned progress wipe has been delayed until September 16th as the team works on server stability and combat responsiveness.

Dragon and Home

Update 2.8.0.0, Void Isle, is now live.

Dreamworld

After several weeks of hinting at something big coming, it was announced that a limited number of community members would be chosen to test the new Dreamworld Steam build starting Friday, September 9th. For a chance to join, simply follow the link to the Discord announcement above and react to the post.

Dual Universe

Inactive Asset Requisition (IAR) will return on September 4th. Any long-term inactive constructs will be marked as abandoned and available to be salvaged by other players.

Embers Adrift

This week's update added Set Bonuses, UI tweaks, and other QoL improvements.

Eternal Tombs

The next Eternal Tombs test will be held September 11th, 8am - 5pm PST. The test will include five new zones to explore.

Eterspire

Build 34.0 is now live. Eterspire has officially reached the milestone that determines whether an MMO is worth your time by adding the fishing skill to the game!

Foxhole

ABLE War 116 just started on Friday. Even bigger news is that Update 58, Summer Update 2024, was released on the same day. You can read through the release notes or just walk the Update 58 Walkthrough video by I Saw A Bear below.

Fractured Online

Just as the extended Fractured Online Free Play Week neared its end (September 1st), the game became a victim of a DDOS attack. The attack actually shut down the game server, which has been restarted with minimal rollback. All VIP subscriptions will be granted an additional 24 hours.

Once Human

If you missed the recently announced Scenarios and Season, the video below serves as a crash course on everything you need to know.

Palia

Patch 0.183, Sunset Soiree, is now live. You can check out the patch notes, which include home tours, the Potato Pod Log-in reward, and more.

Past Fate

Patch 0.4.9 brings optimization changes to the Steam client.

Prosperous Universe

With his vacation over, Michi is back to thinking outside the box in Development Log #448.

Realm of the Mad God

Part 2 of the Vindication event is out. The event includes new quests and two new missions, plus more dungeon events.

Reign of Guilds

A recent Q&A post hit the RoG Steam page this week.

Scars of Honor

There will be a Development Update Livestream September 5th at 3pm EST. Post any questions you have on the SoH forums.

Star Sonata 2

Eclipse Ascendant Patch 1.2 is now live.

Villagers & Heroes

Patch 5.30 is live. The patch marked the departure of the Twilight Vale. In its place is a new Frontier Zone, the Goblin Root Caves.

Zenith: Nexus

Season 4: Golden Isles launched on Tuesday. The Golden Isles is the final content update for Zenith. To honor the community members, RamenVR will be holding multiple community events Friday and Saturday (September 6th and 7th).
