Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Coreborn celebrates its Next Fest success, Ethyrial developer Gellyberry parts ways with its publisher, and Britaria shares its recent development progress (image above). Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Following their latest test session, Devblog 6 was posted this week. Topics include rolling out their Large Worlds prototype with a new map that is eight times larger than the current one, Animal Husbandry, donkeys, and more. There was also a notice on the Anvil Empires Discord that the upcoming PvP test scheduled for July 18th has been delayed to July 25th.

BitCraft

With summer in full swing, it makes sense that BitCraft Twitter would show off the game’s Farmer’s Market.

BRITARIA

A June Development Report was posted to Discord on Friday. Along with some work on a newbie map and UI screens, the team also reintroduced the over-the-shoulder view camera perspective.

Coreborn

Some positive news came out of the Coreborn camp this week. Firstly, Coreborn was one of the top 50 most-played demos during the Steam Next Fest. Secondly, Coreborn will be represented at the Indie Arena booth at this year’s Gamescom.

Dreamworld

Checking in on this week’s Development Release #113 (they do one every week), there were some UI upgrades, movement and combat improvements, and most importantly, you can no longer kill your mounts.

Dual Universe

DU is celebrating summer at the Alioth Exchange. The Summer Celebration will run through July 24th, so stop by for the fun, or sign up for a booth of your own.

Elethor

The patch notes for v34 are up on the Elethor forums. V34 marks the first global event - The Swarm.

Ember Sword

The application period for the Ember Sword Alpha Land Sale is over, but you still have a chance to win a plot of land in the Alpha Land Sale Giveaway. Running July 13th through August 6th, you can enter to win one of three regular plots by joining the gleam.io contest.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

It appears that the big announcement hinted at last week was that the team is parting ways with their publisher, Freedom. The team will be entering an extended test and development phase, and as such, the game will be free-to-play for all players. You can read the full announcement on the Ethyrial Discord.

Fractured Online

Along with a recap of their relaunch pretest, it was announced that another test, The Server War, will begin on July 19th. The 12-day test will be open to all owners of an Adept founder pack or higher.

Gloria Victis

Update 366 was full of resuorce loot tweaks and a look at the work being done on sieges.

Monsters & Memories

It’s out a little later than usual, but Update 33: New Zones and More was posted this week. Check it out to see the progress the team made in June.

Nightingale

If you wondered what the inspiration behind Nightingale was, check out this YouTube Short to find out.

Open Perpetuum Project

There is currently a 10X EP bonus event going on. No end date has been given.

Past Fate

Patch 0.4.4 is now live. The patch is full of world and player changes and improvements. An open alpha reveal was also posted to YouTube. The test will run July 28-31.

Prosperous Universe

Just like every week, you can check out Development Log #394.

Ravendawn

Get ready for the Ravendawn Open Beta with a Pre-Release Livestream. The stream will be held July 15th.

Realm of the Mad God

Update 3.4.1.0 is live. The update includes the first iteration of the Enchantment System, which is accessible through the new Advanced Kogbold Steamworks. The update also marks the beginning of Season 7, so start grinding that battle pass!

Tatsumeeko

Along with the usual Weekly Devblog, there was an announcement post on Tatsumeeko Discord full of, well, announcements.

War of Dragnorox aka Eternal Tombs

Henceforth, War of Dragnorox has been renamed Eternal Tombs. It seems the name change is due to the team’s new vision for combat.
