Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, several developers reviewed the feedback from recent play tests, Foxhole showcases Update 52, and Dreamworld pushes out a new combat system. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

Bubba’s family knew everything there was to know about the shrimpin’ business.

BRITARIA

BRITARIA is in the process of migrating its website to a new service, but that didn’t stop the devs from providing a recap of its development progress in February. The Google Doc states work is almost done on a showcase demo. Work was also backend work completed to prepare for upcoming Skill Tree additions. Finally, Fabled Mounts, a collection of rare horses with 100% unique looks, was also completed. The set of horses will be sold prior to the launch of the Britaria Alpha Test.

Broken Ranks

A new blog post covers the first stage of the legendary gear rework which includes a new system to insert, remove, change, and merge modifiers on rare gear along with the new system of gaining psychoexperience that levels up modifiers instead of the gear itself. Players can expect the update in April.

Cinderstone Online

A short post on Cinderstone Online Discord states that with work on internal tools and server updates completed, the team is now working full force on chapters 2 and 3 of the game. The chapters are expected to be completed in approximately 30 days, but we’ve heard that before.

Corepunk

The Corepunk community had a lot of questions following the Professions video in February. The devs took to the Corepunk forums to answer some of the most common questions.

The Cycle: Frontier

With the public test of Season 3 in the rearview, the community has a lot of feedback, and the devs have summarized some of the major points in a new blog post.

Dreamworld

As part of their Weekly Development Release #95, the devs have released a new combat system.

Foxhole

In case you missed it, the Foxhole Devstream #108 is linked below. During the stream, the devs talked about Update 52, including grief moderation, map screen improvements, decay mechanics overhaul, and much more.

Gloria Victis

Update 352 has a long list of quality-of-life upgrades. Friday also marked the first round of server merges since GV was released a month ago.

Ilysia

Team 21 Studio has teased that a special announcement will be coming on Monday, March 13th.

Monsters & Memories

The M&M team is back with another monthly update. Update 29: Feedback & Preparations targets the end of March for a public stress test. The update also gives us the usual concept art and development update we see every month.

Past Fate

The Past Fate team posted an updated gameplay video showing off the first 30 minutes of gameplay.

Project Gorgon

I skipped right past Project Gorgon last week, and in doing so I missed a major update. You can find the Update notes here.

Prosperous Universe

Development Log #376 is available to read at your convenience.

Ravendawn

We got a double dose of Ravencard previews this week. Which archetype looks more interesting, Shadow or Spiritual?

Starkeepers

The narrative team discusses how they built out the lore for Starkeepsers in Development Update #9.

Tatsumeeko

The most recent Weekly Devblog covers Playtest 2.0, Parina Docks Graybox, and fish designs.

Villagers & Heroes

Be sure to check out the advance patch notes for The Mana Build (patch 4.92).

War of Dragnorox

Josh Caba, Creative Director for War of Dragnorox, shared an update on development in his latest post.

Wurm Online

Holy sites (and a bunch of other stuff) were the big-ticket item added to Wurm Online with this week’s update.
