Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Anvil Empires and Valorbound discuss visual upgrades, Coreborn goes full release, and a pair of superhero MMOs get dev updates. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Devblog 14 was posted this week. Topics include an update to the natural environment visuals and fort building.

BitCraft

Clockwork Labs shared their thoughts on Alpha 1 in a new video this week. The post also covers what players can expect in Alpha 2. Speaking of Alpha 2, a second video dives into Empires, one of the new elements we will see in the next test.

Broken Ranks

TaernCon 2024 is almost here (July 6th), and a new post has outlined the rewards for best cosplay and trivia contest winners. Prizes for the PvP tournament were also listed.

City of Titans

Mac owners got a little City of Titans love this week with a new update. The new update includes the most current maps of the city, including access to the Northside neighborhoods.

Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore

A new full-release trailer was posted this week. The video includes a glimpse at the Liquid Meadows expansion, including building and plenty of combat footage. The release of Liquid Meadows also marks the official launch of Coreborn. To celebrate the launch on Steam, you can nab a copy for 30% off ($9.79).

Elethor

V39 is now live. Dubbed the Incursion Rework, the update is all about, well, the incursion rework. V40 was also released this week, making minor changes to the corp buffs.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

Patch 3.1.7 went live this week. The patch includes diagonal movement, 360 degree camera rotation, new maps, and much more.

Foxhole

There will be a new devstream on Tuesday, June 25th at 1pm ET. The stream will preview the changes coming with Update 57.

Fractured Online

A new roadmap for Fractured Online was posted this week. The full release date will be announced in the coming days, followed by multiple videos and blog posts covering Genesis players, a new PvP ruleset, and a new Summoning system, to name a few.

Mirage Online Classic

There’s a new class in MOC - the Necromancer. Necros can spawn a minion for 30MP with an upkeep of 12MP per 4 seconds. Their health is 35% of the caster and ATK is 65% of the owner’s max magical damage.

Once Human

Due to community concerns, the planned in-game purchase test has been canceled. There wasn’t a wipe planned for after the test, and the devs agreed that this would give testers a head start in the game. The test will be conducted in-house instead, and will not affect the launch date of July 9th.

Palia

The Insect-A-Palooza event was a success. Players caught 25,015,667 bugs, earning everyone a new plush and 3 Mixed Hydrangea Flower Seedlings. There is also a new patch landing on June 25th, so enjoy the teaser below.

Prosperous Universe

In Development Log #439, Michi talks about how governments will get a cash injection.

The Quinfall

Closed Beta Test 2 has been postponed. Originally scheduled for June 22nd, the test will now begin on July 10th. On the positive side, the test will be extended from five to seven days.

Ravendawn

Patch 1.0.6.7 was released this week. The patch introduces new quests to the game along with a new target HUD element and spawn improvements. There was also a community vote on whether there should be a server merge for Angerhorn and Serafine. The vote was successful, but there are still some details to work out, such as how to handle Open World and Community Land.

Scars of Honor

There will be a dev livestream on July 4th at 3pm ET.

Ship of Heroes

A new development update was posted this week. The post focused on the new NPC voiceovers and other recent changes.

Valorbound

News about Valorbound has been nonexistent for a while, so it was good to see a new dev update post this week.

Villagers & Heroes

Update 5.28 is now live.

Wurm Online

The next update for Wurm Online will drop on Monday, June 24th. The patch includes a new portal system, a rework of the action system, and client renderer improvements.
