Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Zenith goes free-to-play (image above), everyone puts out their end-of-month update blogs, and Nightingale enters Early Access. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Devblog 11 has been posted, and we’re entering the Bronze Age. The addition of bronze tools is the first intermediate step to crafting in Anvil Empires, which previously went from flint directly to iron.

BitCraft

The latest Letter from the Producer talks about the challenges of getting BitCraft to work with SpacetimeDB, Clockwork Labs’ in-house server solution, the Empire System, and what updates future testers will experience.

Book of Travels

A new post on the BoT Steam page goes over some of the combat changes coming to the TMO.

Broken Ranks

Whitemoon has a new blog post for us that covers their plans for Broken Ranks in 2024. The roadmap gives a rough overview of the what the team will be working on for the first and second half of the year.

Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore

If you missed Monday’s Community Idea Stream, you can watch the VOD below. There is also a poll up to vote on your favorite community choices.

Dreamworld

Dreamworld gets a camera that rotates independently of the character, more tutorial updates, and general bug fixes in Weekly Development Release #146.

Embers Adrift

Embers Adrift’s free trial started this week. The trial grants access to the first full zone

Eterspire

Eterspire build 24.0 was released this week. The update expands the game world with three new maps, each one bringing with it a new boss, pets, and a unique equipment set. The team also gave an outline for a potential addition to Eterspire. The Darklight Tower would be a four floor tower full of monsters and a boss encounter.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

Multiple patches were served up again this week, some big, some small

Genfanad

The Weekly Update covers the new combat UI along with some new animations and artwork.

Mad World

Thursday’s maintenance notes are full of updates and changes for Mad World.

Nightingale

An end-of-the-week blog post highlights the first week of Early Access for Nightingale. Twitch Drops have been extended through Monday, March 4th, so you still have time to pick up some goodies. And in case you still haven’t started playing, be sure to check out the Beginner Tips video below. You can also check out what MMORPG thinks about Nightingale in our Early Access Review.

Palia

Patch 0.177 went live this week. The patch notes mention 32 new items, a handful of recipes, rummage piles being added to Bahari Bay, and more.

Project F4E

The next playtest will run from March 7th through March 10th. You can still sign up to join the test on gleam.io.

Prosperous Universe

Ravendawn

Due to community feedback, the requirement of RavenCoins for Reputations and Profession Resets has been changed to in-game currency only. Patch 1.0.5.5 also has a bunch of other changes and improvements.

Ship of Heroes

A new video shows just how much individuality you can impose on your character during creation. What story will your character’s look convey? 

Tatsumeeko

It’s time for Tatsumeeko’s monthly update, and Patch 0.88 has all the changes you will see.

Zenith: The Last City

Infinite Realms, Zenith’s new free-to-play ARPG game mode, was released this week.
