Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week was pretty quiet. Ember Sword announced their Alpha Land Sale (image above), Emily checks out Coreborn, and Ethyrial has more woes as they can’t deliver their roadmap patch on time. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight. Oh yeah, I almost forgot - I couldn’t think of any way to tie it into this week’s column, but what’s your favorite Pink Floyd song?
Anvil Empires
Another Pre-Alpha playtest is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, July 11-12, at 12:00pm ET. PvP will be enabled for the test, but the primary focus will be on settlement building.

Broken Ranks
As expected, a new post on the Broken Ranks forums gives a quick overview of the happenings from Taerncon 2023.
Coreborn
If you haven’t had a chance to take a peek at Coreborn yet, our very own indie-loving Emily has shared her first impressions of the MMO.
Coreborn has added Threads to their social media outlets. Their first post is a screenshot of Resin. Can someone explain the importance of Resin to me?
Elethor
Assuming all went well, the v34 update should have gone live on Saturday (it was still pending as I wrote this). The update includes the first Global Event - The Swarm.
Ember Sword
It’s time for a litmus test to see whether players/investors are still interested in Ember Sword. With the recent Alpha Test being “hugely successful,” Bright Star Studios has announced an Alpha Land Sale. Wave 1 of the sale will be similar to the original land sale, with interested parties submitting an application for purchase starting on July 10th. Applicants will be hand-picked for the entries to ensure each land owner “closely align with our core values for the game.” Wave 2 will begin on July 31st and will be a first come, first served event. Details can be found in the announcement posted on Medium.
Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore
In a message on Discord, Team Gellyberry announced that the already delayed patch would not be released by the end of the week. Given their struggles since launch, the tone of the not-so-cryptic message doesn’t sound positive.
Gloria Victis
This week’s Update 366 introduces some loot tweaks and other QoL improvements, a server merger questionnaire, and the addition of a Supporter Pack DLC featuring a 3D printable character model download.
Loftia
Loftia is a new entry into the IMS this week. Developed by Qloud Games, Loftia is a social farming MMO where the community will make a “positive impact on the world.”
Mad World
A patch this week added 4+ and 4++ difficulty to dungeons. Monsters have been buffed for the new difficulties, but so have item drop rates and EXP gain.
Nightingale
A new YouTube Short shows us a few different types of Bound in action.
Prosperous Universe
Martin talks about funding, and Michi talks about features for the upcoming Liquidity Release in Development Log #393.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands

Zenith: The Last City
Another minor patch (1.3.1) adds a new area to Skyland, along with some bug fixes.
