Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week was a big one for the indie MMO scene. Eternal Tombs gave us its reveal trailer, Loftia kicked butt with its Kickstarter campaign (image above), and Palia entered its Closed Beta Phase. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Anvil Empires
A revised Pre-Alpha Test roadmap has been published. Short, small-scale tests will continue through the beginning of September, with a major PvP test planned for September 19th.

Britaria
No official word yet on whether Moonglow will get the rights to the Shards Engine, but a quick Discord post from CEO Joseph Rubin maintains a positive outlook.
Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore
Patch #4 has been released. User-specific keybinds have been added, along with several other tweaks.
Dreamworld
While weekly updates continue, this week’s patch notes hint at a big release coming in a few months.
Ember Sword
Wave 2 of the Alpha Land Sale began on Monday, July 31st. The first come, first served sale will end on Tuesday, August 8th. Is anyone experiencing FOMO?
Eternal Tombs
Eternal Tombs gave us their official reveal trailer this week. Live dungeon masters? That always goes well.
Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore
Another patch, another slew of issues. Along with the server being down on Monday, the biggest issue players faced was not being rewarded their 25/30 skills.
Genfanad
Genfanad’s CLicHe Integration Update went live on Thursday. Departments (in-game factions) are now live but choose wisely, it’s a lifelong commitment.
Gloria Victis
Update 369 is here, and the winners of the Free Building Contest have been announced. It is truly amazing what an MMO community can build when you give them the tools to do so.

Ilysia
Remember how I mentioned Ilysia’s Beta was going live last week? Well, it didn’t. A new bug appeared on the same day the Beta was supposed to go live, and the team is still working to resolve the issue. A new date for the Beta hasn’t been announced, but the Beta is still expected to run for three days.
Loftia
Loftia’s Kickstarter campaign went live this week. The campaign hit its goal in two hours, and as of Saturday morning, $417,904 had been pledged by 6216 backers, far surpassing the goal of $150,000. Are the hardcore MMOs of old truly being replaced by the Cozy MMO subgenre? With numbers like this, maybe they are.
Mad World
Along with their weekly patch notes, a new dev letter was posted to discuss the gem drop rate update. Margonem
Nightingale
With another month on the books, it’s time for another Inflexion Reflections.
Palia
A new cinematic trailer for Palia was posted this week. The Closed Beta is live, and the NDA has been lifted, so you be sure to check out our Palia Preview.
Prosperous Universe
In Development Log #397, Michi talks about the Liquidity release issues, so there’s a lot to talk about.
Ravendawn
Last weekend’s Open Beta playtest saw 4000 new adventurers, bringing the total number of unique accounts to over 50,000. I wonder how many more will join Ravendawn during this weekend’s session.
Realm of the Mad God
It’s August, so you know what that means - Month of the Mad God has finally arrived!
Star Sonata 2
It’s time for another universe reset. Get ready for some Temporal Shenanigans.
Tatsumeeko
Sit back, relax, and read another Tatsumeeko Weekly Devblog. And for you Supporters, a new month means another round of Supporter Rewards.
Zenith: The Last City
Are you unhappy with the current Godstone system? So are the devs. They are planning on revamping the system, and they are looking for your feedback about possible changes.
