Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, we got an update on Broken Ranks mobile, The Quinfall discusses transparency, and Reign of Guilds gets a new roadmap. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

After receiving multiple emails about an upcoming BIG announcement coming on February 27th, the only announcement we received was the announcement about the announcement being delayed. Now, we should receive the big announcement on March 6th.

Broken Ranks

We’ve known for a while now that Whitemoon Games has been working on a mobile version of Broken Ranks. A new blog post this week outlines the progress made on the mobile version, including a limited soft launch window of March or April for the Philippines before releasing to a wider audience.

Dual Universe

Did you forget about the Hunt for the Golden Goober event that has been going on for months (years?) in Dual Universe? I know I did. Well, it appears the event is finally entering its final stages. Any player still searching for the GG needs to help fill in 5 bingo cards located at Market 6 by searching for screens with codes on them. The screens are located in any Aphelia or NQ-Nyota territory, and contain a code that must be entered to fill in a bingo spot.

Elethor

A new Discord post outlines new changes to Elethor, including five new ships, new dungeon completion and monster kill stats being added to player profiles, and bug fixes.

Embers Adrift

February’s patch was deployed on Tuesday. Notable changes include updated vegetation shaders, a new boss in Dryfoot, and an auction house.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

A new patch was deployed on Tuesday. Although the patch notes haven’t been posted on Steam, you can find a list of changes on this Discord post.

Once Human

Version 1.4.2 went live on Wednesday. New content includes the option to hide cosmetic items, vending machines to facilitate Deviation trades, and much more.

Profane

Profane’s latest test phase ended on Tuesday. Players can submit feedback by filling out this post-test form.

Prosperous Universe

Development Log #472 was posted this week. The post outlines the rules for PRO license gifting.

The Quinfall

A new update was deployed on Friday. The patch focused on performance improvements and bug fixes. The team also posted a Transparency Announcement on Steam that discusses the improvements made to the MMO since its launch.

Realm of the Mad God

Update 5.8.0.0 went live on Tuesday. The update includes the Trials of Cronus, RotMG’s newest Event Dungeon, and a Mardi Gras event.

Reign of Guilds

A new Roadmap was posted on Steam this week.

Villagers & Heroes

Servers went down on Monday to patch in Version 5.42.0. The new patch has a long list of improvements, including updates to Relics at Heroic 50+, multiple loot changes, and bug fixes.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands

Although no details were provided as to the number of accounts involved, another wave of account bans were conducted for anyone caught engaging in real money trading.

Wurm Online

Wurm Online’s 2025 map dump has been completed.
