Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, the news is light as there are signs of developers already starting to take some well-deserved summer breaks. Plenty of studios are still hard at work, though, and there are several test sessions planned in the coming weeks. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, like Slay Together’s combat rework (image shown above) and Fractured Online’s first testing session since parting ways with gamigo, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Following another successful Pre-Alpha Test, Siege Camp posted their Devblog 5 for Anvil Empires. The blog covers sawmills, cisterns, and family areas.

BitCraft

After being graced with a couple of short videos, BitCraft’s weekly tweet was back to yet another campfire scene.

Cinderstone Online

A week of vacation for the sole programmer of Cinderstone, a balance patch, and a sneak peek at Brightway, the region west of Cinderstone, were all on tap this week.

Dreamworld

Weekly Release #109 highlights include character movement updates and clicking and dragging items in your inventory. Wow, only 109 weeks to get inventory management. Nice!

Dual Universe

Update 1.4 is set for June 20th. NQ Ripley covered the update in a Twitch stream during the week. For those that prefer to read instead of watch, posts on the upcoming PvP changes and how to prepare for PvE missions can be found on the DU forums.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

Taking player feedback into account, an updated roadmap was published this week. There were also a couple of patches focused on bug fixes and game balance pushed out this week. The big news this week, though, was the North American/Oceanic server merges.

Foxhole

Update 53 went live on Wednesday. You can check out the release notes or watch the Update 53 Walkthrough by I Saw A Bear to get up to date on the changes and additions.

Fractured Online

A time-limited test is scheduled for Thursday, June 22, through Saturday, July 2. Access to the test will be granted to all Founders Pack owners.

Genfanad

After going silent for a couple of weeks, a new blog post was added to the Genfanad site to let us know that the devs are busy working on some big updates.

Gloria Victis

The scheduled start of the new Glory Season was postponed until June 22nd. This was done to ensure the season would include all of the changes coming with Update 363, as well as the ability for guilds to own national castles, which also goes live on the 22nd.

Palia

If you’ve been waiting patiently for a chance to join in on the recent Palia tests, your wait may be over soon. Over 200000 people will be invited to the upcoming stress test slated for July 6th. Like all of the recent tests, the stress test will be limited to a four-hour window, so I’d suspect that with so many new players, much of that time could be spent waiting in a queue.

Prosperous Universe

Be sure to check out Development Log #390 for more information on the new rating system.

Scars of Honor

Scars of Honor’s biggest test session will run from July 3rd through July 14th. There’s a lot of new stuff being added for the test, so be sure to watch the video below for all the details.

Slay Together

Multiple patches were released this week, most of which revolve around a combat rework intended to make the game more exciting.

Tales of Yore

A new devlog cites Coke and Code’s day job getting out of hand as the reason for their silence of late. But it also details the work that he was able to get done during the small amount of downtime available throughout the month.

Tatsumeeko

Check out the art department’s work on biomes in this week’s Tatsumeeko devblog.

Wurm Online

There have been some management changes as retirements and promotions have found several staff members in new roles.
