Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, we were alerted to the launch of Tales of Fearless Online, multiple MMOs say Happy Holidays, and Ship of Heroes finally sets a launch window. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

A dev livestream will be held on December 17. During the stream, the team will discuss the details of Closed Alpha 3. They are also asking all players to join them in-game during the stream to test and stress the server backend, SpacetimeDB.

Book of Travels

Might and Delight posted a year-end update on Stream this week that detailed the struggles the team faces during 2024.

Elethor

A new post on Discord discusses the NEO roadmap, specifically multikill.

Foxhole

The Foxhole team posted its final devblog of the year. Short and sweet, the post gave a short recap of 2024 before wishing the community a Happy Holidays and signing off.

Fractured Online

Along with patch r0.5.e brought players an early Christmas to Fractured Online in the form of four gifts. Gift #1 is that Santa’s reindeers have landed on Elysium (do you like holiday events in your MMO?) and they are available to catch. Gift #2 is that all Founder Pack are 20% off through January 6. Gift #3 is that there are massive bonuses to gold, knowledge, and divine rewards through December 16. Finally, gift #4 is that all Glory gains from Divine Trials have been permanently increased by 33%!

Loftia

Loftia’s Steam page went live this week, and if you haven’t already, be sure to Wishlist it now!. A new trailer was also posted on YouTube, and you can watch it below.

Open Perpetuum Project

Patch 33: Part 1 - Game-Changing Updates & Fresh Content is coming soon. The patch introduces a new option for resource acquisition - the Terramotus. There’s also a new Dreadnought Module for Destroyers. Additional parts of Patch 33 will be coming in the next few weeks.

Palia

For those looking for an alternative to X, Palia is now on Bluesky. It was also announced that Patch 0.187 - The Holiday Homestead is coming december 17. You can catch the trailer for the patch below.

Ship of Heroes

Ship of Heroes has finally announced a release date, sort of. Although a specific date hasn’t been disclosed, a new blog post marks Q2 2025 as the launch window. The post highlights some of the features players can expect when the superhero MMORPG launches.

Tales of Fearless

Tales of Fearless is a new 2D MMORPG that launched on Steam on December 6. Steam says this ofToFO: This old-sytle hardcore game has pixelated graphics that bring a nostalgic feel.
