Indie MMO Spotlight: Happy Easter!

Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Embers Adrift gets a new update, Monsters & Memories’ devs review the last couple of months, and Easter events pop up all over the place. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Anvil Empires have once again delayed its minor test. The new test date is Tuesday, April 9th. The test is delayed to give the team more time to address feedback. The next Major Test is still planned for April 18th.

BitCraft

BitCraft was on display at GDC 2024, and Joseph shares his first impressions of the survival crafting MMO.

Broken Ranks

If you haven’t already done so, be sure to check out the changelog for Patch 7.38. The main purpose of the patch was to bring back a new and improved Bunny Marathon for 2024.

Dreamworld

Do you remember all of the controversy surrounding Dreamworld last year? A new video from YouTuber Game_Changer presents another side to the story. If you still have doubts, you can always try out the game for free.

Ember Sword

A new Ember SwordShowcase shows off Canavar, an epic mob you will encounter while running the Ultra Deep dungeon.

Embers Adrift

New solo Ember Vein Loops, player inspection, and several QoL updates were all included in Embers Adrift’s latest patch.

Eterspire

Eterspire build 26.0 was released this week. Server performance has been boosted and maps have been improved to show players on all maps.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

A new week, a ton of new patches. Highlights include new Monster Hunter tasks, new monsters to slay, class tweaks, and much more.

Foxhole

The Community Highlights blog made an appearance this week. Is the blog back for good, or was it resurrected to promote the Fan Art Contest, which runs through May 13th?

Monsters & Memories

If you were worried that I wasn’t covering M&M, worry no more. Update 40: Feb & March was posted this week. There is also a new section on the M&M website pertaining to Early Access, which is currently slated to start in 2026.

A Community Highlights blog was posted this week and it’s full of fan art and in-game screenshots.

Once Human

The PC preload for the upcoming Closed Beta Test will begin at 10PM EDT on April 3rd.

Palia

It was a busy week for Palia, what with the Steam launch and all. In response to some confusion surrounding the game's Open Beta status, Dev Update #7 reiterates the dev’s stance on the game’s current status and future direction.

Project F4E

A Stability Test is planned for April 4th. Please fill out this form if you want to join.

Ravendawn

Ravendawn was updated with Patch 1.0.6.2 this week. Highlights include changes to the Mentor System, tradepack changes, and measures have been taken to deter high-level players from targeting low-level players for their eyes!

Realm of the Mad God

The Easter Event is now live. There’s also a new blog post about the upcoming Realm Rework.

The Easter Event 2024 runs from Sunday, March 31, until Monday, April 8.
