Indie MMO Spotlight: Fntastic Is Back

Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Fntastic is trying to make a comeback, Cyborg Immortal gets flagged by Google Play, and The Quinfall starts its third Beta Test. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Cyborg Immortal

If you have Cyborg Immortal installed on your Android device, chances are you received an alert from Google Play stating that the game is harmful software. SB Games is aware of the situation and says they are working with Google on the alert.

Dragon and Home

Dragon and Home has launched a new South American server. The App Store and Google Play have been updated, and there is full data sync between PC and the mobile version.

Dreamworld

Dreamworld’s first Steam Playtest is set for Thursday, October 10th. A limited number of players will be chosen for the test, which is expected to run for a month or more.

Dual Universe

To celebrate its second anniversary, DU has a double Talent Point boost going through October 14th. Players can also head to the Alioth Exchange to claim a Milky Way Statue gift.

Embers Adrift

Embers Adrift is celebrating its second birthday.

Eternal Tombs

It was announced that Eternal Tombs will be holding a test session October 11th - 13th. Players can expect an overhauled combat experience, including new swing timing, blocking, and critical hits.

Farwoods

Two new skills, Artificing and Sleepwalker, have been introduced into the game. Several new items have also been added along with hundreds of enchantments and a bunch of other changes that you can read about on the Farwoods Discord.

Fantastic

It may be hard to believe, but The Day Before developer Fntastic is back from the dead. There is a Kickstarter campaign and demo for a new co-op physics-based game called Escape Factory. The only thing I want to escape is another round with these so-called developers.

Once Human

Update 1.2 went live on September 25th. The update added a new PvP scenario, Prismverse’s Clash, along with an updated Ranching system and Eternaland Roaming.

Palia

Log in to Palia before October 8th to earn another in-game Potato Pod reward.

Project F4E

Project F4E’s next playtest will be held October 2-6.

Prosperous Universe

The Quinfall

The Quinfall’s third Beta Test started on Tuesday and runs through Monday, October 1st. If you already participated in a previous test you can access this test. If you haven’t played before, you can request access on The Quinfall Steam page. Only 3000 players will be allowed in the test, so request access ASAP.

Ravendawn

Update 2.0.2 went live on Wednesday, September 25th. The patch has a bunch of new content and changes to several professions. The update also adds Leaderboards to the game.

Realm of the Mad God

A new trailer for Season 17 has been posted to YouTube. Welcome to Halloween 2024.

Ship of Heroes

A new video featuring a visual FX and animation update was dropped this week.

Villagers & Heroes

V&H will be holding another Developer Livestream on Friday, October 4th at 3PM EDT on Twitch.

Wurm Online

Wurm Online received a new update this week. The update includes a new tutorial server, a reworked action system, client rendering improvements, and quality of life changes.
