Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Anvil Empire heads underground, Ember Sword gets collectible skins, and Scars of Honor is headed to the Brazil Game Show. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

With a Minor Test happening this weekend, a new Devblog was posted this week. Devblog 17 covers underworld generation, mining, and the combat stability system that continues the improvements to combat that were covered in previous devblogs.

Broken Ranks

Server transfers from Thalia to Wyvern and Pavar to Naravar are currently open.

City of Titans

A short clip of combat was posted this week.

Corepunk

A new dev post announced another delay of the progress wipe this week. The wipe is now expected to happen on September 23rd. The delay is due to some improvements making up the next update still aren’t finished.

Dreamworld

If you wish to join the Steam playtest, all you need to do is head to the Dreamworld Steam page and hit the ‘Request Access’ button.

Ember Sword

What’s the point of using blockchain in an MMO, you ask? Buying and selling Limited Edition loot, of course. The Ember Sword Origins Collections Chest is currently available on Rarible. There are only 2500 units available, and all of the items in the loot chest are tradable items. The collection includes a Whiskers Player Character Skin, Whisker sword and shield, a Flux Storm Survivor Player Character Skin, an animated ‘Faint’ in-game emote, and 1000 $EMBER tokens. The price? Just .023 ETH. Oh wait, that’s $2357 as of this writing!

Eterspire

Build 35.0 was released on Monday. The update introduces direct player-to-player trade and new quests.

Fractured Online

Patch R.0.3 was released this week. The patch should resolve stuttering issues on older PCs as well as a Loot All feature.

Grimrain

Patches v0.0.417 and v0.0.421 were deployed this week, just in time for the weekend playtest. The playtest was capped at 100 players and ran Saturday and Sunday.

Nightingale

If you’ve recently started playing Nightingale due to the Realms Rebuilt update, there’s a new guide to introduce you to Untamed Realms (procedurally generated) and Public Realms.

There’s also a Realms Rebuit Starting Tips video that you can watch below to get up to speed.

Once Human

Once Human’s Mobile Version Technical Test is now underway. Check out the chart below to see if your phone meets the minimum requirements.

Open Perpetuum Project

Patch 32 is live! The patch includes the removal of turrets, changes to drones that removes tiers and replaces it with classes, and a new T2+ Scorcher weapon.

Palia

The Autumn Awakening Update (patch 0.184) is coming September 24th.

Pixadom

Gems and the gem shop are now live in-game. This is a soft launch, so items will be added slowly.

Project F4E

Project F4E’s next playtest is being postponed by one week and will be held October 2-6.

Prosperous Universe

In Development Log #451, Michi discusses another fix for the white screen of death bug and the trials and tribulations of dealing with multiple languages with the community translation project.

Realm of the Mad God

Update 5.1.1.0.0 is live and marks the beginning of the Talk Like a Pirate Event.

Scars of Honor

The team’s September Update also announced it will be present at this year’s Brasil Game Show which runs October 9-13. Finally, the next official test phase will run October 26th through November 1st.

Valorbound

A long Discord thread this week covered what TeamScionica has been working on recently. Work has been done to improve visuals, and the PRISM system (aka cosmetics) has been completed. Several game mechanics have also been completed, including stamina changes and work on hitboxes.
