Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Dreamworld adds new assets (image above), Foxhole talks about Update 56, and Quinfall opens up another Close Beta application. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Book of Travels
Book of Travels dropped an AMA video this week. Many questions are answered, like, “Any plans to change the 24hr day/night cycle?” and “What do you enjoy most and least about game dev?”
Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore
This week’s Community Stream featured Hauke and Okaydrian discussing the results of the community feature poll. Patch 13 is also live, and you can read the patch notes here.
Dreamworld
Weekly Development Release #148 includes new cottage set asset pieces, more improvements to the tutorial, and some starting and mid-game balance changes.
Dual Universe
The Dual Universe Mesh Exporter will be available on Wednesday, March 20th. Using the Mesh Exporter, players will be able to export their in-game creations and save them as a 3D file, which can then be used to 3D print a real-world replica. Dual Universe is also part of the Steam Spring Sale, giving you a chance to pick up subscriptions for 20% off.
Ember Sword
We saw a glimpse of Martish Gulkador, underboss of the Broken Teeth Bandits, in a YouTube short a while back, and he is back this week in the first episode of a new video series, the Ember Sword Showcase.
Eterspire
Eterspire experienced a server crash this week. As a result, some players have experienced a minor rollback. As compensation, anyone who was online prior to the crash received 80 crystals as compensation. In more positive news, Eterspire build 25.0 went live on Thursday.
Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore
You have to admire the amount of effort being put into Ethyrial lately. This week alone, we saw three more patches, making a total of 11 updates so far this month. With a peak player count of 22 and an average count of 8.3 for the last 30 days, you almost have to wonder, why keep going? Hopefully, all the hard work will get them back up to their launch week numbers.
Foxhole
There will be a live devstream on Tuesday, March 19th. The stream will be our first preview of what is coming to Foxhole in Update 56.
Fractured Online
Patch b.1.1d was deployed this week to resolve a couple of bugs. There should be a larger patch within the next few days that will address buffs for builds and abilities.
Genfanad
In this week’s blog post, we get our first look at Genfanad’s post TCG monetization. Welcome to the world of booster packs!
Hordes.io
Patch 0.51.8730 went live this week. The focus of the patch was reworking Hellspawing and improving solo play.

A new developer video was posted this week. The video discusses roadmap updates, recent technical issues, exploits, and a few other topics.
Palia
While the rest of the world is talking about the success of Helldivers 2, Palworld, and Enshrouded, Palia has quietly surpassed the milestone of 3 million players across all platforms. Maybe it’ll finally get the kudos it deserves when Palia comes to Steam on March 25th.
Project Gorgon
To celebrate its 6-year anniversary on Steam, all players have until April 30th to collect a Steam 6th Anniversary Gift Pack in-game. To get your pack, just log in and /redeem.

Season 13 is now underway. A new season means a new battle pass, new missions, and new Shinys. There is also a St. Patricks Day event that runs through March 19th.
