Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, several MMOs shut down their beta servers in advance of their official release, Merfolk come to Chimeraland, and Prospectors have to deal with a Cataclysm. Book of Travel fans will be happy to hear that travel is getting a first-class upgrade, and Foxhole will be on fire when the 1.0 Inferno update goes live on Tuesday. There’s plenty of other stuff going on as well, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Adventure Land
Due to a new approach to logging changes, this week’s Adventure Land Week In Review post catches many of the small changes that would have slipped by unannounced.
Book of Travels
Tech Blog 18 is available on the BoT Steam page, and a short video posted this week covers some updates to boat and train travel coming in the next update.
Chimeraland
The update this week is full of changes and additions to Chimeraland. The new Food Station and Gourmet Station can now be unlocked in your Spirit Orb. Speaking of housing, the new blueprint system will allow players to easily relocate their houses with a single click. With Season 2 starting on September 28th, Season 1 comes to an end with the aptly named Cataclysm event.
Dual Universe
After just over 2 years, the DU Beta servers were shut down on September 22nd. The servers will go back online when DU officially releases on September 27th. Novaquark also announced a new DU demo server. The demo server will give players a chance to see what Dual Universe has to offer at an accelerated pace. The demo server will see periodic resets so that it doesn’t become a substitute for purchasing a subscription to the game.
Foxhole
If you’re into concept art, you will definitely want to check out the latest Foxhole Devblog showing off all of the concept art for the Inferno update. And don’t forget, the 1.0 Inferno update goes live on Tuesday, September 28th.

The trading of $ARIA tokens was paused on Thursday in preparation for a rebranding. Once the rebranding is complete and the new token name is announced, anyone holding $ARIA will be able to exchange their current tokens at a 1:1 ratio. Trading will resume at the last pre-pause price of $.0136
Mad World
The first Closed Beta Test for Mad World is complete, and Jandisoft has released a CBT gameplay reel.
Nightingale
Inflexion Games now has an official TikTok channel.

The Past Fate server was taken offline on Friday. Originally expected to be down for the day, it was later announced that the server would be offline for the entire weekend.
Profane
In a tweet this week, INSANE introduced us to a craftable housing item: DUMMIES. The low-cost dummies will serve a dual purpose in your house. First, they will be just like other MMO test dummies that allow you to check up on your DPS output. They will also be used as armor stands to show off all of the armor sets you create.
