Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Wild Terra 2 (image above) teases new content, Anvil Empires delays its Major Test, and BitCraft finally gives us a decent gameplay video. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

Anvil Empires

Siege Camp posted an updated Pre-Alpha Phase 5 schedule on Tuesday. The Major Test previously scheduled for March 27th has been pushed back to April 18th to allow for two more Minor Tests. The new Minor Tests will be held March 22nd and April 3rd.

BitCraft

After months and months of weekly snippets and vignettes being posted to X - so many and so similar that I quit adding all of them here - Clockwork Labs has finally posted a gameplay video for BitCraft! The trailer has drummed up some new interest in the MMO, part of which is due to some confusion surrounding whether or not the survival MMO will have crypto elements.

It was also announced that Alpha was coming April 2nd. You can sign up for your chance to get a key through a link on the BitCraft official site.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

It has been another week filled with patches and updates for Ethyrial

Fractured Online

We are in the midst of another Free Weekend for Fractured Online. You can log in and play for free through Monday, March 11th. There is also a 30% off sale running throughout the free weekend.

Genfanad

The Weekly Update on March 8th covers some of the visual updates coming to Genfanad, including the combat UI, some new trees, and preview of gathering.

Loftia

A new update on Loftia’s Kickstarter page gives us an update on the team’s move to San Francisco, as well as an update on their development progress.

Monsters & Memories

I was expecting M&M’s monthly update this week, but nope. To hold you over until its posted, you could watch the latest development livestream or check out a fascinating video of Halfling Paladin & Beastmaster gameplay

Nightingale

Patch 0.1.1 was pushed to the servers on Wednesday. There wasn’t any new content added, but there is a grocery list of bug fixes and game changes. There was also a new blog post from Aaryn Flynn, CEO of Inflexion Games, that covered the team’s short and medium-term development priorities

Once Human

Once Human’s Closed Beta Test 3 has been pushed to April 3rd.

Prosperous Universe

Michi used Development Log #424 to discuss fees and taxes, and the February economic report is out.

Ravendawn

Patch 1.0.6 was rolled out on Thursday. The patch added medium and large community land along with level progression changes, more fishing buffs, and a medium-sized list of other changes.

Realm of the Mad God

If you haven’t gotten your Lunar New Year Dragon emotes, there is currently a Dungeon event running with an increased drop rate for the emote. The event runs through March 12th.

Scars of Honor

The Scars of Honor Kickstarter campaign is now over, and it failed to hit the $200,000 goal.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands

A new post on Steam teased a new island, corn, and other improvements coming to WT2.

Wurm Online

2024’s map dumps have arrived, and you can grab them here.
