Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, The Day Before had the worst launch of all time, Eterspire released on Android (image above), and Once Human made a splash on Steam. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.
Anvil Empires
Devblog 7 was posted this week, highlighting all of the changes put in place for the Major PvP Test that started on Friday. You can now enter houses, animal ropes and saddles are now a thing, and you can now build your very own marketplace shop. On top of all of that, the world map has doubled in size.
BitCraft
A new video from Clockwork Lab discusses the technical challenges the team has faced developing BitCraft.
Book of Travels
Live Update 0.45.3 was released this week and introduces three new rooms, two new questlines, and various bug fixes.
Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore
Thursday’s livestream featured Gameplay Engineer Gavin and a look at combat changes currently being worked on by the team.
Ember Sword
To kick off the new year, a livestream will be held on January 17th to discuss everything Ember Sword. In a similar fashion, you can check out the end-of-year review below.
Eterspire
Eterspire version 20.0 was rolled out early in the week, followed by the MMO being released on Android just in time for the weekend.

Genfanad is currently hosting an Open Beta Weekend. Jump in and see a small slice of the changes the team has been working on. The Beta lasts through December 19th, and you can download the client from the Genfanad Steam Page.

Once Human
To ensure a good experience for testers, Starry Studio has shut down open access to its beta and moved to an invite-only system. If you aren’t aware of this up-and-coming survival MMO on Steam, Steven Weber shared his first impressions a few days ago.

Patch 30 has been released. You can now purchase Respec Tokens, and the Spark Teleport Devices are back.
