Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, things were quiet compared to the last few weeks. There was still talk of upcoming Alpha and Beta tests, though, and a couple of MMOs are planning Twitch Drops in the coming weeks.

There are a few other things of note, too, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

Although comments on BitCraft’s tweet of bunnies frolicking amongst the flowers were about how cute they are, the only thing a true crafter is thinking is how they will be able to make stew, fur clothing, and a rabbit’s foot trinket.

Book of Travels

A new video showcases the upcoming changes to fishing in the next BoT update.

The Cycle: Frontier

Season 3 starts on Wednesday, March 29th, and Yager has announced several upcoming events to celebrate the start of the new season. There will be a 72-hour livestream on Yager’s Twitch channel to kick off Season 3. The stream will start off on Tuesday, March 28th at 10am EDT with a 24-hour countdown. Speaking of streaming, Twitch and YouTube content creators can join the Season 3 Creator Competition and win some goodies to share with their community. Non-streamers will also be able to get several vanity items through Twitch drops, with the campaign running from March 30th to April 9th.

The Day Before

A new video revealed that the post-apocalyptic world of The Day Before would include… a spa? Really? The 59-second video looks like it belongs more in the Yakuza franchise than a survival game.

Genfanad

With the weekly update pushed out on Thursday, players can now find new dungeons in Kosten and Fallen Giant that contain Mithril ore.

Gloria Victis

It’s good to see Black Eye Games is back to weekly updates for GV. Update 354 adds some new tree variants (the wood type, not skill type) and some updates to combat. And if you are still on the fence about trying out Gloria Victis, check out Emily’s final review where she shares the trials and tribulations of her time with the game since launch.

Mad World

With over 100,000 pre-registrations and counting, Jandisoft will be announcing the release date of Mad World next week.

Profane

Profane was happy to tweet out that armor textures are finally working in-game. There’s still more work to do, but the tweet has a video showing off the work they’ve completed so far.

Project F4E

In advance of the next playtest on March 29th, the team has updated the playtest application. To join in on the tests, simply fill out this form, then head to the Project F4E Discord, choose the Playtest role, and you’re all set.

Prosperous Universe

Check out last week’s development progress in Development Log #378.

Ravendawn

Do you want early access to Ravendawn’s upcoming Open Beta? You can earn an Early Access Pass through Twitch Drops by watching any participating streamer from March 28th to 30th. In the meantime, you can read the latest devblog where the team covers the last set of Ravencards - Wizardry.

Scars of Honor

In the newest episode of the Scars of Honor Dev Diaries, we get to hear from Venelin Vasilev, CEO of Beast Burst Entertainment.

Ship of Heroes

With the goal of releasing in 2023 still on the table, Ship of Heroes can now be wishlisted on Steam.

Soul Kingdoms

It has been a while since we heard anything out of the Soul Kingdom’s camp. A new dev video shows off the new combat features coming in their first update of 2023.

Star Sonata 2

There will be a universe reset on April 15th. You can read about it on the Star Sonata 2 Steam page.

Tatsumeeko

The latest Tatsumeeko Weekly Devblog talks about movement improvements and quest tracking along with a healthy dose of artwork.

Villagers & Heroes

Patch 4.93 goes live on Monday, March 27th. You can read the patch notes on the V&H website.

Wild Terra 2: New Lands

The dev team is working on one of the most important features of any MMO: fishing. You can read about the work being done to improve fishing in this dev post.
