Indie MMO Spotlight: A New Tutorial

Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Reign of Guilds gets a new tutorial, BitCraft delays its launch, and Past Fate releases an update. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

Wondering what has changed since BitCraft’s Alpha 3 finished up? A new blog shares the patch notes for the upcoming Steam Early Access launch, which was postponed to avoid a busy launch period. More detailed write-ups on key features are coming soon.

Corepunk

The patch notes for the May 10 update have been posted.

Embers Adrift

A small hotfix was released on Tuesday, which included some typo fixes and other minor improvements.

Eterspire

Eterspire for iOS was updated to v51.0, ahead of the announced date of 5/14. This was done because the MMO has been nominated for a worldwide feature on the app. Android users can expect the update to land by Monday.

Fractured Online

This week’s dev update includes Kickstarter concept art, optimization, and graphic updates.

Open Perpetuum Project

Patch 34.5 was deployed on Sunday.

Palia

Patch 0.191: The Elderwood is set ot release on Monday, May 13th.

Past Fate

Patch 0.5.1 was released last week. The patch includes improved crafting UI, and it also adds ancient chests to ancient locations.

Profane

A new Playtest is set for Thursday, May 15th. The test will include a new region: Nui Archipelago, two new skills, and an expansion of the Crab Faction.

Project Gorgon

A new update went live on May 8th. The patch has several balance changes, bug fixes, and skill changes.

Prosperous Universe

Development Update #482 covers the balancing release that came out on May 6th.

Reign of Guilds

The new Tutorial version 2.0 has been released. The new tutorial is divided into two phases, the New Rivulet Island and Harbur Phase. Several other updates were also included in the patch.

Screeps

A new arena is being tested. The Spawn Strike arena is planned to launch in Season 1 this fall.
