Five Things to Do First in Summerset

Today’s the day. Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset launches on PC for Pre-Order folks, while others have to wait until June 5th. So what all does that mean you can do today, if you’re one of the many who planned ahead? Join us as we list the five things you should do first when Summerset is live on the ESO PC servers.

BECOME THE JEWELCRAFTER

It may seem silly, but now that Summerset is live, you can really boost your leveling up of the new jewelcrafting profession. You can dismantle anything you find starting from today (older items can't be dismantled), as well as get the materials needed to make NEW and better pieces from in the process. Get to melting it all down like your local pawnshop. There are even tons of new traits specific to jewelry to research and apply.

HUNT DOWN THOSE NEW SKYSHARDS

Some of us (me included) use mods to make skyshard hunting a breeze, but that doesn’t mean there’s no work involved! Summerset is going to bring with it a host of new skyshards to track down, and ergo tons of new skillpoints to earn. And that means you’re going to have some exploring to do… across the game’s new delves, public dungeons, and so forth of course.

JOIN THE PSIJIC ORDER

One of the absolute best parts of ESO is just how varied characters can be with all the different skill lines. Summerset doesn’t bring a full new class as Morrowind did, but it does bring a host of new active and passive skills in the Psijic Order skill line. With crazy stuff like the ability to rewind time a la Overwatch’s Tracer, the mixing and matching of your builds is going to be nuts. Definitely one of the first things on my list to do.

GET THAT STORY GOING

If you didn’t already do it, the Prologue quest for Summerset continues the story from the Clockwork City, Orsinium, and even the base game. This sort of overarching presence of the Daedra messing with the world of Tamriel. Things are getting hairier than ever in this expansion, and I’m really curious as to where things will head in the next year for ESO.

PREP FOR THAT NEW TRIAL

The raids, or Trials, of ESO are always some of the most enticing content, even if it’s only the bigger guilds that put them on farm status. Epic in scope, with tons of unique gear, bosses, and achievements tied to them, Wayrest is going to be a go-to spot for guilds in the first few weeks. Only question is whether or not it’ll top the Halls of Fabrication… no small task there.

There’s my starter set of tasks for Summerset today. I’ve purposefully kept away from the PTS in order to experience this Chapter with fresh eyes, and we’ll be working towards our review score when the official launch on June 5th comes. Will you be playing ESO: Summerset today?
