In this bi-weekly column we tally up the news from around the almost-MMO-verse and offer our thoughts on the ins and outs of the titles that are big, but maybe not quite "Massive".

Brigitte is the Tank-Healer Hybrid I’ve Been Looking For

After some brief teasing, Blizzard finally unveiled Overwatch’s 27th hero yesterday and I’m already crazy hyped to play her on live. Brigitte is a Tank-Healer hybrid, and so far she's fantastic...

Golem Gates – Real Time Strategy Meets Card Collecting

Do you like Real Time Strategy games? Do you like card collecting and deck building? Do you also like creepy whispering? Golem Gates may very well be your thing. Laser Guided Games took the growing popularity of the melded genres and added a dystopian feel, but is it everything an RTS fan is looking for and more? This is our Golem Gates review.

Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia Hands On Impressions and Interview

It’s 878 AD and The Great Heathen Army has been defeated at the hands of the West Seaxet King Alfred the Great. An uneasy peace as settled across the land that will become Britain and Ireland a millenia later. Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia has one of the more interesting settings in a Total War game, and its this setting that gives the first of the Total War Saga games a lot of its flavor.

Deep Sky Derelicts - Interstellar Survival with a Wicked Combo of Genres

Deep Sky Derelicts is really a hard game to pin down genre-wise. It's survival. It's a turn-based RPG. It's sci-fi. It's got tactical combat. It's got more than that too. In fact, if there was anything to compare it to most closely, it would be Red Hook's Darkest Dungeon. And that's a compliment to both games, believe me. I had the chance to spend some time with an early access build of Deep Sky Derelicts and have a few thoughts to share.

Monster Hunter World: Chaos in the Making

After an aeon on handheld consoles, Monster Hunter is making its way back to the big screen in spectacular fashion. With an open beta weekend unleashed, we sent Gareth Harmer to find out more.

Get Your Avengers Alliance Fix with Marvel Strike Force

I honestly never expected to see another Marvel game in that style again, especially not so soon, but a new title called Marvel Strike Force was recently announced. Currently only available in soft-launch in New Zealand and Canada, Marvel Strike Force is more of a clone of the incredibly popular Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes than it is Avengers Alliance, but the experience is close enough.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp – Welcome to Camp, Please Feed the Animals

Nintendo has started releasing mobile games utilizing a popular swath of beloved, previously console restricted, franchises on android and iOS, the newest of which is Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. Does Nintendo keep to the tried and true feel of the Animal Crossing games in their new mobile iteration? Here is our Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Review.

The Elder Scrolls Legends: Return to Clockwork City Impressions

The Elder Scrolls Legends is coming out with more content in its latest release, Return to Clockwork City. Previously there was the story expansion for the Fall of the Dark Brotherhood which gave us new card types and a new story to explore, then there was the Heroes of Skyrim expansion which released new card types into the game and added more strategy to the game with shouts and dragons.

Raining Fire with the Heavy

We recently put together a more gimmicky guide for the Specialist in Star Wars: Battlefront II, but this week we've got something a bit more practical with a guide to raining fire down onto your enemies with the Heavy.

This Week at GameSpace.com – Destiny 2’s Best Weapons, LA Noire on Switch & More

It was another big, if short, week at GameSpace.com. We’ve got some terrific reviews, as well as a few opinions on things as diverse as Destiny 2’s best weapons and a nifty mouse / keyboard review. You’ll definitely want to check it out!

Total War: ARENA - Throwing the Doors Open

It’s an important week for Total War: ARENA’s closed beta, with Creative Assembly launching an Open Week and inviting all comers to the online 10 vs 10 tactical battlefield. We strategically dispatched Gareth Harmer to the studio’s UK HQ to find out more.

This Week at Game Space - Star Wars Battlefront 2, Skyrim & More

It was another big, busy week over at Game Space with big ticket reviews of games like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Need for Speed Payback and more. We also have a bunch of "Quick Hit" reviews from games that maybe will take you by surprise. Add in a sprinkling of geeky editorial content and you've got a lot of cool things to look forward to seeing.

Star Wars: Battlefront II: Making Melee Work

One of my favorite things to do when playing any new game is to try and make work some weird, gimmicky build I’ve cooked up in my head. For Star Wars: Battlefront II, this has manifested in my quest to make melee work on a Trooper class.

Star Wars: Battlefront II Review – This is the Star Wars Game You’ve Been Looking For

Star Wars: Battlefront II is sure to be overshadowed by the controversy surrounding its microtransactions, but beneath the fury lies a game truly worthy of the Star Wars IP.

Star Wars Battlefront II Year One - The Battle Plan for Content

With the hotly anticipated release of Star Wars Battlefront II rapidly approaching, one question that has yet to be answered is this: What does DLC look like and how much will it cost?
