Paragon Studios has announced that the City of Heroes Steampunk Pack officially launched today. The new pack contains lots of "gizmos, gadgets and gears for players including the steam jump travel option, costume pieces and more.

The second content wave for the City of Heroes: Issue 20-Incarnates update has been announced. Called "Incarnates Ascend", the new content will feature new lore pets, the Keyes Island trial, new in-game merit awards and a whole lot more.

The City of Heroes team continues their retrospective, in celebration of the 7th anniversary of the game. Paragon Studios has announced that all inactive accounts have been reactivated for one week to allow former players to revisit the game in celebration of the City of Heroes 7th Anniversary. The move also celebrates the global access debut.

A pair of new articles have surfaced on the City of Heroes site. The first is the April Producer's Letter which also contains a special anniversary address from Nate "Second Measure" Birkholz. The second article features news about an upcoming Praetorian Invasion live event in the form of a lore piece to pique player interest.

NCSoft and Paragon Studios are celebrating City of Heroes and its seventh anniversary in a super hero sized way. Some items in both the NCStore and the in-game store are 50% off including jetpacks and more. In addition, character renames and server transfers are half off.

Paragon Studios and NCSoft are celebrating seven years of City of Heroes. Devs have a great line up of festivities planned including an in-game meet and greet with developers, an anniversary live UStream chat with Paragon, and a series of in-game events that will run during May.

The City of Heroes team has announced the availability of the NCSoft Launcher for Mac users. Developers indicate that this is beneficial for two reasons: 1) It will be compulsory in the near future so why not get started now; and 2) It allows faster and more efficient downloading of patches and updates to City of Heroes.

Paragon Studios has announced that the Weekly Strike Targets in City of Heroes will be changed due to issues with the current quests. During today's regularly scheduled maintenance, WSTs will be disabled. When restarting the game, two new WSTs will be implemented.

Paragon Studios devs have posted a new City of Heroes blog article outlining one of the lesser-known features of Issue 20: Incarnates, the Player Help System. New players will see a pop up window on first logging in asking if they want to participate in PHS. If so, the new player will be assigned a veteran player to assist them in learning all of the ins and outs of City of Heroes.
