Super Power Pack Now Live; New State of the Game Letter -

The hotly anticipated Super Power Pack patch for Champions Online is now live. As we reported earlier this month, this latest patch includes a major overhaul for both the melee and supernatural power frameworks, team missions in journal, as well as many tweaks and fixes. The new patch also includes new UNITY 2 missions, which allow players to participate in an additional set of daily missions taking place in Vibora Bay.

Cryptic Studios' Shannon "Poz" Posniewski has also posted a new State of the Game letter alongside the new patch, in which he discusses (obviously) the new Super Power Pack, as well as the upcoming "The Serpent Lantern" adventure pack, which is slated to go live sometime in June.

Read below for a short breakdown of The Serpent Lantern's features:

  • VIPER upgrade
  • Veteran rewards
  • Difficulty slider
  • Energy Builders review
  • Bug fixes

Poz also mentions that the Champions Online website will see an update in the near future. The update will include an update calendar (likely similar to the Star Trek Online calendar), as well as some navigation and visual improvements.

If you're interested in earning some sweet rewards including special action figures, xp/resource/damage bonuses, convenient teleport powers, and even Cryptic Points and free game time, you might want to take a look at the Champions Online referral program which can offer you the opportunity to earn all of the above simply by spreading the word and getting people to try out the game.

Do keep in mind that you cannot do this here at, as it is against our Rules of Conduct!
