Latest Newsletter: Art, Design & the State of the Game -

The latest Camelot Unchained newsletter has been posted that contains a massive amount of information about the latest happenings in and around the City-State Entertainment offices and about what the team has most recently been working on.

Ben Pielstick took time to write quite a bit about "battle scalability" and the technical challenges that providing larger battles has brought to the deelopment team. The goal for this particular aspect of the game is to make the battles fun while remaining technically challenging rather than just a "zerg fest".

The art team also got some attention with recent armor designs that are shown in order to reveal the iterative process of taking a concept and applying it to the game itself.

Gabe Ortega has written a lengthy portion about the application of sound effects into CU and creating a system that generates the most appropriate sound based on what is happening on the screen.

Lastly on the development side, Brittany Aubert writes about the State of the Game, the mean and potatoes of what the team has been working on to get CU in shape. Bug fixes, ability adjustments and much more are detailed.

The letter also has community inclusions, a long lore story and a lot more. You can read the entire thing over on the Camelot Unchained site.
