Are Free MMOs Going from bad to worse?

Is it just me or does it seem like all the new Free to Play MMORPGS are just getting worse everytime they come out with some new mmo?

Graphics- Free MMOs that are coming out nowadays are either having REALLY outdated graphics engine or its another cartoony anime look type graphics. Yeah, I understand they probly don't have any money to afford to use a really nice graphics engine , but still they shouldn't even bother if they got a low budget.

Grind- It's like they can't think of anything else. As if free mmos out there don't have enough of it. It's literally hours and hours of your time wasted killing things over and over again it obviously makes the game worthless and not worth playing. They should lessen the amount of EXP points it takes from one level to another or come up with a better system.

Community- Within months of a game's release maybe even weeks you'll start noticing annoying bots in major towns already. Just spammin up the chat box with spam spam and you guessed it more spam! A very few people who are willing to help out a noob such as yourself when you start a new mmo that you haven't played before.

Leveling System- It's all the same, you level up and get X amount of STAT points to spend in STR(strenght) DEX(dexterity) INT(intelligence) MP(Mana) HP(Hit points) (LUC) Luck Etc..and then you get skill points that you spend on skill to make it stronger or get a new spell. Yeah I know some other MMORPGs are different ,but there all pretty much the same.

Story- Yeah I know this ain't really a BIG or major reason why you play an MMO ,but whats the point of making a story for an MMO if they don't even put it in the game flawlessly. For example World of Warcraft puts the story of whats going on in the " World " through quests, events, dungeons etc. Or like in Shaiya Online..how you get a buff from whichever god you choose to worship in that game hey it aint much ,but at least it something.

I just want to see a new free MMORPG that has its own unique style it doesn't have to copy WoW or Warhammer AoC or whatever MMORPG thats famous out there. Of course it can't all be free I wouldn't mind like an item mall or something as long has it doesn't have like "Haxorz Spear + 99999 to all stats" something gay like that. It should be an original MMO. Thats what makes it good.

Who cares if its going to xbox360!

OK I have been hearing alot of crying from ps3 fanboys about how their exclusive games ff13, tekken 6, MGS4 ( rumor) are on or are going to be on the xbox360.

Four words....WHO GIVES A &@#^

Seriously, it does not matter if this and that game does end up on the 360 and if you are going to sell your ps3 just because of that then your retarded. Heres a few reasons why...

Games look better on the ps3 if done correctly its all up to the developers.

For those whinning about ff13 on 360 DON'T because you get the second game as an exclusive aka FF13 Versus, you know the one with the really cool guy making all the swords fly..yeah that one.

For those whinning about  IF MGS 4 will be ported DON'T. Why? because it won't look as nice they may have to cut some things out and there really is no reason for them to do it because there probly have to remake most aspects of the game to fit it on the 360.

Tekken 6...sorry nothing really I can say about that.

Look, all I am trying to say is that just because another console(s) is getting your exclusive game for any console for that matter don't bitch about it. Look at us PC gamers when one of our games goes to a console we all just laugh at it because the graphics got toned way down and the controls are simple yet complex. So just because a game(s) gets ported to something else it shouldn't matter to you if already have that game for whatever console, its like sharing a toy, just because your little brother gets it the same thing months later with maybe a new feature or two doesn't make it that great.

Overall its the same thing.

Is PC gaming really dying? If so, Blame microsoft.

Sometimes I hear it around the internet sometimes about how PC gaming is dying etc.Every time I hear this I always say, "Oh yeah? What about the 10 million people playing WoW" or any mmo for that matter. Games like counter strike , team fortress 2 , etc.

The pros of being a pc gamer is how much stronger your powerhouse computer is compared to a ps3 or xbox360 ( for some of you anyway). The amount of content your computer can hold, faster loading, and complicated at first ,but turns into easiest controls ever. So basically a computer can be the best gaming machine if you got the cash...which leads me to the downsides.

Why pay so much money for a nice computer when for the very LOW price of $199.99 + tax of course, you can buy a xbox360. The graphics on it look decent it has exclusive games on it even though it is supposed to be like a computer minus everything but gaming. Same goes for ps3, why pay almost 5k for a dream machine when you can get a ps3 and tons of games.

You don't have to worry about the whole " omg can my computer handle it?!" with a console game you don't have to worry about that sort of thing. And since consoles don't need to be upgraded over time like PCs it saves even more money and for the really casual people installing new hardware in a computer can be pretty weird.

Exclusive content as mentioned earlier is another reason why PC gaming might be slowly dying. Have you seen those sales numbers for Halo 3 , Gears of War, GTA IV, and MGS4? Millions upon millions of sales. Yeah I do know that GoW and GTA 4 are coming to PC, but I think mostly everyone who plays it online is playing it on a console. Well that would be because no one wants to buy it a second time for the PC so it probly won't sell as much which as why game developers make games mostly for consoles.

Lastly, If PC gaming does die well yeah you could blame all the consoles but I would blame Microsoft's Xbox360 console the most . This little moneyhouse of Microsofts is probly WHY pc gaming dies. Halo 3 would be on PC as I write this now and the new expansion pack for it also. I don't even see why MS(microsoft) needed to do this. PC would be on top in the gaming industry if it weren't for the xbox360. All those big games that make it so great would be on the computer also.

SOE wants you playing MMORPGS on your ps3

Some of you may already know this but SOE, Sony Online Entertainment, wants you to playing some soon to be released MMORPGS on your ps3. Some mmos include The Agency , Everquest II, DC Universe Online, and Freerealms. And yes all of these mmos are also going to be on the PC.

To be honest I think putting an MMO on a console is a really cool and unique idea.

For example the controls on a standard PC mmo theres usually alot of hot keys that need to be pressed during the game. Since all the consoles dont have nearly as much buttons as a full QWERTY keyboard the controls would be so much simpler. Oh but you can buy that ps3 keyboard they sell and I guess that would be like playing it on a computer.

Another good thing is that you don't always have to worry about the whole "can my computer handle it?" question because it really sucks when you buy the game for your comp and find out that it can't handle it and you also don't have to cut down on the graphics quality to boost that fps.

I could list a bunch more reasons for why putting a mmo on console is great idea...

BUT THERE ARE DOWNSIDES obviously...

Things like if more people like this idea of console mmos then it's just going to be another nail in the coffin of PC gaming which I hear is very slowly dying nowadays.

Overall having a console mmo is a great idea for most people that can't afford nice computer that can run those nice new mmos with the nice next-gen graphics. Unless your playing WoW for another 10 years.
