Ok, so here's the deal. I not so long ago purchased a new computer just to play conan when it came out...but now i'm rethinking my plans. I don't know if it's gonna be the game for me anymore, i don't really get into these games much it seems, i don't have a steady group of people to play them with? Anyone part of a gaming group/community that plays mmorpgs together? i joined such a group a long time ago for SWG, which moved on to wow, and then we all stopped. Someone point me in the right direction here.

Well you are not the only one that has had dropped mmo friends, It happens to all of us. The best thing to do is play a game that YOU want to play and just make new friend a long the way. I played SWG for 3 years everyday when it first came out and now im playing COH& COV, until AOC comes out in May. I just bought a 26 inch lcd tv monitor for my gaming computer. I cant wait to try it out , also joining a guild is a good way to gain friends on an mmo that is on the same time zone as you are. Good luck

Well if AoC doesn't appeal to you then don't even try to find people to play it with because you're shooting yourself in the foot. If you wanna try it, then find you do like it, by all means getting a guild or just talking to other people who are new is a good way to make new friends.

Yep that is the sad part off MMo life, when you leave the game it is the friends you leave behind you miss and not the game,As ascension brushed on,1st find a game you really enjoy and then find the right guild for yourself and make new friends,For me half the fun of the MMo is the making of new friends, who you will be friends with for alongtime in some cases.

You never know some of your friends from swg might be playing the game also as alot of us try to keep the same gamming name.

I am much the same way. Even a good MMORPG can get borning if you don't have that steady group of friends to be with on a day to day basis. Random grouping doesn't do so well for me. What I have done was go threw the AoC forums n looked a guilds that suited my playstyle and age group. From there I just browsed each site, made an account n read up on posts n chatted a bit with ppl on the forums. I found myself a group that I get along with well n feel I will fit in when we get into game. I would suggest taking the time to look at some of the groups/guilds forming for AoC.
