Biohazard's Blogs! Alliteration FTW.

Biohazard's Blog is where all the cool kids come to read stuff from this other cool kid. In all seriousness, I think I'll use this blog to look at some topics such as The TableTopGaming VS Video Game debate and talk about my indie team experiences : )

Greetings, everyone. This is my first Blog post so be gentle and use protection. I would appreciate that so very, very much. Now, on with the show!

My friends, I always wanted to get into the Wahammer universe. Considering I am Sixteen now I think it's a tad too late for me to get stuck into the time consuming, yet rewarding hobby that is Table Top Gaming. I think if I was born in the late 80's I would have jumped right in there but since I was born in the early 90's when video and computer games where becoming ever so popular, I just stuck with those. Sadly, I think we all know the reason why most of us do not particapate in the hobby today : The amount of money spent on this darn thing! Right? Who's with me?

I mean, I'd love to kickass with awesome looking Chaos Warriors or Imperial Guard but you have to admit that those minoscule little guys don't help themselves when you are shown the price for such a tiny thing.  Talk about contrast : S

Simple question sums it all up, really. Would you pay around £40 for a game such as DoWII and have almost everything you would have in the TT version without all the pricey armies, battle forces and scenery or invest so much money in buying a complete set of miniatures - As awesome as they are. I mean, why play Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, WarmachineMKII or anything like that when you could easily play a game version that comes with animation, sound, effects and story telling- all the things you sort of have to make up on the TT.

Don't get me wrong. I love the entire concept and idea of the TT's and the community of GW members of yester year but I don't see why they are so valid anymore since the arrival of those videa gaimez.

All of this is usually on my mind when ever I feel like going on Ebay and buying a starter pack but I'm always held back by the stuff I talked about up there.

- I realise the miniatures have gotten alot cheaper, but still ;)
