Introduction
What is a Knight of Cygnus?
A Knight of Cygnus, or also known as KoC, is a new race of characters(Currently: Adventurer, Knight of Cygnus, Aran) that is newly released in MapleSEA.
As for as the Maple Story goes, Cygnus, is the name of the new Queen of Ereb. As a Knight, you have been chosen to fight the evils of the Black Magician.
In reality, KoCs are viewed as overpowered. In a Monster Carnival challenge, a 31 Soul Master or a Flame Wizard can easily do 200, unlike that of a adventurer.

Knight of Cygnus Adventurer
Pros: Pros:
-Gains 6 AP per level -Has More skills
-Do not require Skill books -Can level to 200
-Gains mount earlier -Stronger in the later levels
-2nd Job Advancement Easier -Can do Elin PQ
Cons: Cons:
-Can only level to 120 -Lose out in Monster Carnival
-Do not receieve chair(beginner) -Weaker in lower levels
-Travelling to Erev can be a pain -Requires Skillbooks to master skills

What is a Night Walker?
A Night Walker is the knight of darkness. They utilize stars as their weapons much like that of an assasin.
They seem to be darkness based, however, they are actually poison based.

Account Creation: The Noblesse
Requirements: An already created level 20 or higher account

Using that account, head to Erev via a ship that departs from both Eillinia and Orbis (with the cost of 1000 mesos).
Create a Noblesse account by talking to the Divine Bird, but make sure you have an empty slot in the character selection menu before you do.
Whilst training, you should just add strength (STR), as it your abiltity points will be reseted once you job advance.
When you have done some of the quests, you will recieve a "Noblesse Gorgous Robe", a hat and a medal. It is recogmeneded that you use all three.

Skill Points:

Lvl 5 == >>>> (1) 3 Snails
Lvl 6 == >>>> (2) 3 Snails
Lvl 7 == >>>> (Maxed) 3 Snails

Training Places:
Do all of "Kiku the Knight Trainer"'s quests, they will bring you to level 10 swifty.

Ability Points
I suggest that you just follow the auto's way of doing things, unless you are out to make a Pure Luck Night Walker.
However, things like equips mess with auto, so each time you level, take everything off and click it! XD

1st Job Adv.: The Knight in Training
Once your account is level 10, head over to the Night Walker Job instructer, Icarut (the guy sitting on the tree), to advance and become a Night Walker.
Upon advancement, you will receive a medal, some training subis and a training claw, equip them.

1st Job Skills:

Nimble Body: (Maxed level: 10) [Passive]
It increases your accuracy and avoidability levels.

Keen Eyes: (Maxed level: 8) [Passive]
Increases the the attack range of your skills.

Disorder: (Maxed level: 10) [Attack]
When a monster is hit, some of its weapon attack and defence is decreased and it will subsequently move in the opposite direction. Not a useful skill to add as you will need to poke monsters with your claw.

Dark Sight: (Maxed level: 10) [Self-supportive] {Pre-requisite: Level 3 Disorder}
The skill allows you to hide in the shadows and evade monsters at the same time you lose the chance to attack, however, magical attacks still hit you.

Lucky Seven: (Maxed level: 20) [Attack]
Although its name suggests seven stars and the icon shows three, this skill only allows you to shoot two stars. This skill will be with you till you are level 100 where you accquire Triple Throw.

Darkness: (Maxed level: 20) [Summon]
This summons your personal guardian, the sprite of darkness. Though useful on the early levels, it will start to become a pain as you are not allowed to cancel it whenever you like.

Recomended Build:

Lvl 10 == >>>> (1) Lucky Seven (or Darkness)
Lvl 11 == >>>> (3) Lucky Seven (1) Darkness (if you did not put it at level 10)

Lvl 27 == >>>> (Maxed) Dark Sight
Lvl 28 == >>>> (4) Darkness
Lvl 29 == >>>> (7) Darkness
Lvl 30 == >>>> (10) Darkness

Training Places:

10 ~ 13: Do Kiku's last few quests (acclimation training)

13 ~ 21: Moon Bunny PQ, Pig Beach

21 ~ 30: Kerning PQ (Recomended 25 ~ 30), Ariant Colloseum, Ant Tunnel (Mushroom Growing Cave)

Quests:
All of the Cygnus Quests (Ereb, Henesys, Kerning , Ellinia, Perion) [NPC: Ninehearts, Roca, Mattias, Hersha, 00Boogie]
Introduction to the protection squad (Thailand) [NPC: Chai]
Nella & the Kerning City Citzen's Requests (Kerning City) [NPC: Nella]
"Danger" {If training in Mushroom Growing Cave} (Sleepywood) [NPC: "Danger" Signs: Horned Mushroom (Ant Tunnel III), Zombie Mushroom (Ant Tunnel IV)]
Shumi's Lost Coin & Bundle of Money (Kerning City) [NPC: Shumi]

2nd Job Adv. : The Official Knight
Requirements: Level 30 Night Walker

Head to Icarut and gain a quest where-by you are required to hunt 30 crests.
Head over to the "Training Hall 2" where you should begin hunting Tigureus.
Once 30 crests are hunted, talk to the NPC present and you will be teleported out.
Finally, head back to Icarut and talk to him.

2nd Job Skills:

Claw Mastery: (Maxed level: 20) [Passive]
It increases your accuracy and the minimum damage, also, it increases the amount of stars you can recharge.
(i.e. Steely [No Mastery] recharge >>> 1000 stars / Steely [Max Mastery] recharge >>> 1200 stars)

Critical Shot: (Maxed level: 30) [Passive]
This adds a critical element to your hits. When maxed, you have a 50%(higher than that of bowmen [40%] ) chance of hitting 2 times your damage.

Claw Booster: (Maxed level: 20) [Self-supportive]
This increases your rate of firing stars, however, when more SP points are added, only its duration is increased.

Haste: (Maxed level: 20) [Party]
This skill increases the speed and jump stats of your character, allowing you to move faster and traverse the map more efficiently.

Flash Jump: (Maxed level: 20) [Self-supportive]
Orginally a Hermit's skill, this skill allows the player to jump a long distance. When used in conjunction with Haste, Flash Jump's effects are dastically improved.

Vanish: (Maxed level: 10) [Attack]
A totally new move, this skill is one of the Night Walker's unique moves and similar to that of the Wind Breaker's Wind Walk. It allows the player to attack while in Dark Sight, however, this releases the Dark Sight, moreover, it adds extra power to the attack.

Vampire: (Maxed level: 20) [Attack]
Another original move in the Night Walker's arsenal. Vampire is a "Drain-like" mob skill that also gains a critical element from Critical Shot. In essence, it drains the monster(s) HP, however, this effect only takes place when your HP is lower than half. However, the direction of Vampire is determined by the direction your character faces. Althought it is not the ideal skill to use to kill hordes of monsters, it can be used to push them back, allowing you to shoot them with your stars.

Ideal Build:

Lvl 30 == >>>> (1) Vampire
Lvl 31 == >>>> (3) Claw Mastery
Lvl 32 == >>>> (3) Critical Shot
Lvl 33 == >>>> (6) Critical Shot

This build allowed me to get around MC maps quickly with the costly Flash Jump (-60mp), but with the free potions, it proved to be extremely useful.
An early vanish allowed me to attack in Dark Sight. One in Vampire is merely to push MC monsters back, especially Toy Trojans.

Training Places:

30: Kerning PQ

31 ~ 50: Monster Carnival, Lubridium PQ(For level 35 to 50)

51 ~ 55: Orbis PQ (Bpq(s)), Ghost Ship

55 ~ 60: Herb Town PQ, Ghost Ship

60 ~ 70:Orbis PQ, Ghost Ship (Preferably Mysterious Path 3)

3rd Job Adv.: The Knight Sergent
Requirements: Level 70 Night Walker, 1 refined Dark Crystal (Dark! not Black!)

When you are at 70, Ninehearts will talk to you to start the quest.
Next, talk to the Knight Commander of Darkness, Icarut.
Talk to Ninehearts again and you will be issued a search warrent in exchange for your crystal.
Next, seach the whole of Ereb for Icarut.
Talk to him and the "Transforming Wizard" will be summoned. Defeat him and collect the item he drops.
Talk to Icarut again. Then activate the new quest and talk to the Divine Bird.
Congrats! You have now advanced!

3rd Job Skills:

Shadow Partner: (Maxed level: 30) [Summon / Attack / Self-Supportive] {Pre-requisite: A summoning rock for activation}
A must to add. This skills summons a shadow clone (Naruto?) of yourself that copies all of your attacks. Althought it is not as powerful, it is still very useful.

Shadow Web: (Maxed level: 20) [Attack]
This attack stops 6 enemies in their tracks with a certain percentage. Not really that useful.

Avenger: (Maxed level: 30) [Attack]
Uses MP to merge 3 throwing stars together to form a giant star that goes through your enemies.

Alchemist: (Maxed level: 20) [Passive]
This skill increases the effect of recovery items and lengthens the time frame of boost items.

Venom: (Maxed level: 20) [Attack] {Activates with the completion of a 110 Knight of Cygnus quest}
Throws a poison coated star at the enemy and has a chance of poisoning the target.

Tripe Throw: (Maxed level: 20) [Attack] {Activates with the completion of a 100 Knight of Cygnus quest}
This skill is the replacement of Lucky Seven. It shoots 3 stars!

Poison Bomb: (Maxed level: 30) [Attack]
Another original move in the Night Walker's arsenal. Poison Bomb is controled like a Gun Slinger's Grenade and attacks like a Fire Mage's Poison Fog.

Recomended Build: (Kinda looks like a sin's O.o)

Lineage 2 guide - lvling soul crystal
1. How to get special ability (SA) on your weapon
2. Crystal guide
3. Leveling a crystal up to stage 10
4. Monsters that can level crystals
5. Leveling a crystal up to stage 11 and 12
6. Leveling a crystal up to stage 13

Weapon Special Abilities, also known as SA's, are available on a wide variety of C, B, A and S grade weapons in the game. Each weapon, except dual weapons, can have a choice of 1 out of 3 special abilities and you can never have more than 1 special ability on a weapon. Dual Swords get 1 set special ability and do not get to chose Special Ability. Weapon SA's are non-transferable, so if you want to exchange or upgrade your weapon at Blacksmith of Mammon you will have to remove your SA from the weapon first. (This can be done by the Black marketer of mammon found in most major towns)
How to get special ability (SA) on your weapon.

Weapons not listed on the SA list: These weapons cannot receive special abilities in any way.
Dual Swords : Dual Swords gain their special ability by enchanting them to +4, then they will receive the assigned special ability automatically. Be warned enchanting a weapon from +3 to +4 has a chance of destroying the weapon, leaving you with crystals of the grade type of the dual swords
Any other weapon listed: Any other weapon can receive their SA regardless of enchanted status. To apply SA to a weapon, you will need a crystal of appropriate stage (level) and color, then go to a blacksmith and pay for having the SA applied to the weapon, payment will be in appropriate grade gemstones + money. Example: If you want to have the Haste Special Ability on an Art of Battle Axe (highest B-grade blunt), you will have to acquire a stage 10 blue crystal, 339 b-grade gemstones and money, then go to a blacksmith, tell him you want to enhance your weapon, select the Special Ability from the list (the weapon has to be in your inventory) and click ok, you will now get the weapon with SA in your inventory. Enchantments on a weapon are not lost when you apply your SA, and a weapon with an SA can be further enhanced without losing the SA (unless you fail the enchant and shatter the actual weapon). Its worth it to note that if you fail a blessed enchant weapon (rare enchant weapon scrolls available from high level raid bosses and olympiad), you do not lose the weapon or the SA.
A listing of all Special Abilities can be found on our SA Data Page.

Crystals Guide

Crystals can be gained in 1 of 2 ways. Either they can be bought from other players or you can take the quest Enhance your weapon and level up a crystal yourself. Blacksmiths will tell you exactly what level crystal you will need for your weapon if you take it to him and ask him to enhance your weapon. If you do not have the weapon available, here is a rough listing of needed levels. A complete listing can be found here.
Crystal Level Type Weapons (examples) Stage 5 C-grade (lowest) Cursed Dagger Stage 6 C-grade (low-mid) Stiletto Stage 7 C-grade (high-mid) Dwarven Warhammer, War Axe, etc. Stage 8 C-grade (highest) Samurai Longsword, Eminence Bow, Orcish Poleaxe, Ghoul Staff, Demon Staff, etc. Stage 9 B-grade (Low) Keshanbrek Stage 10 B-grade (High) Sword of Damascus, Art of Battleaxe, Bow of Peril, etc. Stage 11 A-grade (Low) Meteor Shower, Carnage Bow Stage 12 A-grade (High) Branch of the World Tree, Soul Bow Stage 13 S-grade Arcana Mace, Draconic Bow

Leveling a crystal to stage 10

1. You will need a crystal, these are standard inventory items and can be gained through the quest Enhance your weapon . You will only receive 1 crystal of the color of your choosing, but you can get more by taking the crystal out of your inventory (either dropping it on the ground, trading it to someone else or putting it in warehouse), then talking to the quest NPC again. There is no limit to how many crystals you can carry otherwise.

2. You will then need to level the crystal by finding the appropriate monsters on the list further down. Since crystals can break often, it is advised that you level several crystals at once, but be aware that you can only have 1 crystal in your inventory when you're leveling them or it won't work, so either deposit the crystals on the ground hidden away or have a friend along that carries the crystals for you. Then decide a strategy of either leveling them in stages by doing the lower levels of the crystals on low level monsters, then moving upwards to harder and harder monster, or you can simply do all the levels on a harder monster.

3. To attempt at leveling a crystal, you will need to do the following to the monster:

-Hurt it to below half hit points. (if monster is healed, it cannot go above half hit points, or you have to reduce it again and use the crystal again)
-Use crystal on it (either double click from inventory or have the crystal in your hot bar)
-Get last hit on the monster

When the monster dies, one of several things will happen:
Event Cause Nothing Happens You either:

1. Did it wrong by using the crystal too early or didn't get last hit.

2. The monster is too low level for your character level (deep blue).

3. Are using it on a monster that cannot be used to level a crystal.

4. You don't have the quest to level crystals. The soul crystal resonates You have more than 1 crystal on you. You may only level crystals if you have one crystal on you The soul crystal was not able to absorb a soul You are using the crystal correct and the monster is the correct type, it just failed to level, try again The soul crystal succeeded in absorbing a soul

You succeeded in leveling the crystal, the crystal will disappear and be replaced by a crystal 1 stage higher. (beware, this removes the crystal from your hot bar) The soul crystal shatters You are using the crystal correctly and the monster is the correct type, but the leveling attempt failed catastrophically and the crystal is destroyed forever, disappears from your inventory and all stages are lost with no compensation. You will have to start on a new crystal to continue. The soul crystal is refusing to absorb a soul You are using the crystal correctly, but the monster is too low for this stage of crystal, you will need a higher level monster.

Notes:

-It does not matter who damages the monster to below 50%.
- If the monster goes above 50% again (heals, regenerating, etc.), you will have to damage it below 50% again and use the crystal, or it won't work.
-If multiple people uses a crystal on the monster, its only the person who gets last hit that gets a level attempt on that mob
-Deep blue mobs do not level crystals
-Very important C4 chance: In Chronicle 4 monsters only refuse to absorb a soul if you use it on a monster that can't level the crystal any further AND you would normally have succeeded in leveling. Otherwise the crystal will act like its still trying to absorb the soul, giving the illusion that the monster can level further than it actually can.

Monsters that can level crystals

The following list is listing the highest stage a monster can take a crystal to. (so if a monster is listed by stage 9, you can take any crystal up to stage 9 on this monster, but no further), monsters that isn't labelled with (Not confirmed), has been confirmed and tested for C4 for their crystal stage.
Stage 1 Stage 2 Garden of Eva: Light Worm, Nos, Blade Stakato, Blade Stakato Worker, Blade Stakato Warrior.
Timak Outpost: Timak Orc, Timak Orc Warrior, Timak Orc Soldier, Timak Orc Archer, Timark Orc Troop Archer, Timak Orc Troop Warrior. Stage 3 Devils Isle*: Unpleasent Humming, Light Bringer

Leveling a crystal to stage 11 and 12

For creating stage 11 and 12 crystals, there are the following changes:

1. You can only level a crystal to stage 11 and 12 on Anakim, Baium, Lilith, Antharas, Valakas, Zaken, Anakazel(6 (unconfirmed), or Ember (unconfirmed).

2. An entire party can level up crystals to stage 11 or 12 at the same time. You do not need to drain or do anything else. You only have to make sure that you only have one crystal in your inventory (level 10 or 11) and that someone in your party gets last hit. So you can level up to 9 crystals each time you kill one of these bosses.

3. You cannot fail at leveling a crystal to stage 11 or 12 as long as your party got last hit on the boss, unless its a lesser boss like Anakazel(6 or Ember. Note: Reflect Damage can get last hit.

4. A crystal can never break when attempting to level.

Leveling a crystal to stage 13.

For creating stage 13 crystals, there are the following changes:

1. You can only level a crystal to stage 13 on Antharas, Valakas, Ember or Anakazel

2. An entire party can level up crystals to stage 13 at the same time. You do not need to drain or do anything else. You only have to make sure you only have 1 crystal in your inventory (stage 12) and that someone in your party gets last hit.

3. You cannot fail leveling a crystal to stage 13 on Antharas and Valakas. Ember and Anakazel(7 are not 100% success rate and each individual member of the party has a failure rate on leveling.

4. A crystal can never break when attempting to level

5. Crystals can be bought in giran luxury shop by paying in crystals C and D from stage 7 to 10 (interlude)

DDO strategy - prequisites for the dq raid
A good way to split the time it takes to grind out the pre-requisites for the DQ raid is to take advantage of this strategy:

Have a full party.
Send two people who can handle themselves in the Chamber of Raiyum to obtain the Phalactery by killing the wizard king.
The rest of the party can be anywhere.
Upon completion of Raiyum, a usable Phalactery will appear in everyone's inventory.
You do not need to actually be in Raiyum to when xp is awarded, or ever really, to be able to turn the Phalactery over to Miroc Thrice-Borne and later, Zawabi.

Caveats-

You may have to have Chamber of Raiyum open in your quest log for this work.
Although you will get an item in your inventory when you do this same method with Chains of Flame and An Offering of Blood, the Bowl and the Orb are NOT usable, Zawabi does not take them for you so you have to do those the legit way

DDO guides:Dragon quest walk-through

The dragon is the final part of a quest line called Vault of Night. This quest is 6 parts. Parts 5 and 6 are raid and 6 is the actual dragon part. You get the quest in House K if you go to the top of the newly open area and go behind the bank on top of the pyrimd and talk to a NPC named Barrow. He then sends you down to the ever full tavern to talk to an NPC in there that starts you out on the actual steps.

Part one is right inside the tavern. You go out the "backdoor" to head down to an arena. This is a pretty fun step and not to difficult (although the troll boss has been proving to be a bit more difficult lately). Basicly you fight your way down and dispatch a troll team to take their place in fighting in a deathmatch style arena. The DM commentary is pretty amusing and as I said this is a pretty fun quest...if only they let you keep the axe at the end of it droool.

The second part is also in House K and is a bit more interesting...you basicly end up going into a NPC's mind to find out what is harming her. This one is a bit tricker and if its your first run through it and don't have anyone with you to help guide you, you will probably end up repeating it a few times. You do not want to fall off in this step if any member of your party does you fail and have to restart it. You will face a few beholders, a big giant, and some other surpises. Not a bad quest once you get the hang of it but can be fustrating after a few failures...just take your time and move slowly.

The third part is probably the worse of the bunch. You have to make your way through a heavily infested jungle full of trolls before you even get to the actual quest. Kill a few more trolls to open a barrier then you can enter the actual instance. Once inside you will face many drow, beholders, some more trolls, a trio that have been nicknamed the 3 stooges by most then finally fight a Marut. It is a very long quest, a very risky quest. Expect a wipe or two if things go wrong or if your with a group that is not familuar with it. Oh by the way a wipe or recall means you get to work your way back through all the trolls again...fun fun. Long quest but very good exp if you make it.

Fourth part is right outside the tavern again and is not to bad of a quest. Again first runs through maybe a bit rough to learn the ins and outs but over all its not to hard of a quest and fairly fun. You get to fight many warforged and mithril dogs along with some golums. Oh and the end part you only have so much time to get out before your whole party dies. Few traps and a jumping obsticle and a puzzle that can be irritating till you figure it out.

Then once you have 1-4 done you get to form up a raid group to go into VoN5. All members of the raid must have 1-4 completed. There are no shrines either and is a fairly long quest. Usually healers/nukers end up recalling out at several points to regen and re-enter. You have to decide what members of your parties are going to get which items from NPC's inside...a shield that helps against lightning attacks (lots of them in this one), some dwarf bane arrows, and wands to cure a really nasty posion that will kill you fast if you don't remove it. One person will get the voice to interface with all the talking heads. There are a couple times in which your raid party will be divided up and head off to accomplish two different tasks at the same time. You WILL need 2 strenght users (must have 25 str or better) and two Inteligence users (wizards again 25 int or better) to clear one part. Rogue will be very handy if not neccessary since there are a few really really really nasty trap sequences to deal with. A couple people will be left stranded in one part to flip a couple levers and there is a fairly large floor puzzle to figure out. Then you finally get to the end boss. Huge golum with some dog friends that you will need to figure out how to fight (there is a trick to it that makes it easy). Again no shrines so you will want most of your raid to recall out, repair, restock, regen before going onto the final boss in VoN5. Then have your healers/nukers on EXTREME mana control because once you start the boss encounter a door closes that WILL NOT reopen. If you recall out your out of the fight and miss the dragon step.

Finally you get through VoN1-4 and finish VoN 5 and now you can head into VoN6...the dragon fight. By the way...no shrine in the dragon fight either. You go in and see the dragon and as you move around you will see 3 islands surrounding the main island with the dragon. Each of the side islands have a pillar that you will need to knock down. Oh and there are mob spawns at the pillars...if you kill them they respawn so you need to figure out how to deal with them. Also all 3 pillars must go down within 10 seconds of each other or they full regen. So you have to figure out how to avoid the dragon fire balls (if you dont have high reflex saves its going to hurt), deal with the pillar spawn agro and manage them somehow, take the pillars all dow at the same time...then finally a force barrier drops and you can now go out to the dragon island. You finally make it you step up on the island to face the red dragon but watch out...she wing buffets (wind storm that will throw you off her island) and has a really nasty fire breath and spawns adds on your party. IF you fall off or get blown off the island you get a nice long fall back to the market place and your out of the fight because theres no way back.

Should you be victorious the leader of the raid gets two gliphs. Only the people that have the gliphs can actually get loot out of the dragon chest (there is a normal loot chest there as well that is hit or miss junk or something half way decent). Dragon loot binds when aquired so only the two people with gliphs get items and they can not trade them. The leader is the only one that can pick up the gliphs and pass them on to whoever will get dragon loot. Once you complete you can not run the adventure again for 2 days 18 hours or so...then you have to start back and do VoN 1-4 again, form raid to do 5 and 6.

Its an intresting run, difficult in some parts, loot is not the best, exp is okay for a couple parts but its more for the effect of seeing the dragon.
