Where Pirates in CO Came From?

It is said that there were once nefarious thieves that resided in the Storm Islands. For countless years, they had been living off of their fishing and farming without any contact with the outside world. One day, a merchant ship from our lands became lost and found themselves stranded on these islands. They used their cargo of gold and silk to trade for supplies and local specialties they had never before seen. To the people of the Storm Islands, the ancient, oriental continent was mysterious and new, and they began to learn of the world through the sailors words. It was this chance meeting that planted the seed of the sea into the hearts of the islanders, and slowly began to change their destiny, forever.
Since the Storm Islands are lacking in natural resources that the newcomers favored, some “pioneers” started to trace the merchant ship’s route back to their own lands, eventually reaching new lands to setup trade routes and build new lives. However, this newfound lust for gold and power began to take hold of them, driving them to begin taking what they wanted, rather than trading for it. With this change in direction, nearly all of the islanders became pirates, sailing the wide ocean and always searching for the next big haul. They burned, killed and looted wherever they found wealth to be had, becoming ever more brutal in their methods, hoping to gain infamy through their actions. Some say it was because of their envy of the strange, new people’s wealth… Some say they had noticed that the people of the unknown continent were always at war, and they learned by example… Some even say that they were cursed by the ocean gods, driving them into madness and the insatiable lust for treasure... Only one thing is known for sure, and that is should you be unfortunate enough to spot their colors on the horizon, you may be fortunate enough to not have to worry about your problems for much longer.
Over time, they began to improve their methods and equipment by kidnapping villagers of fallen towns. A warrior monk from an oriental island taught them how to forge their own style of weapons, and found they were quite skilled in their craft. They created improvements to their ships, but also put their own style into their work, forging the peculiar, but deadly, Rapier. They combined knowledge from faraway lands and brought about the use of many types of firearms and explosives. The destructive power of these new weapons became a symbol of terror for the traders and coastal towns, as they sailed seemingly unchallenged across the known world. The pirates built their ships faster and more powerful, bringing giant battleships with an amazing capacity for death and destruction.
They are cruel and deceitful, choosing a gleaming white skull on a black background as their standard. They have become the fearless rulers of the seas, with their bloodstained rapiers glowing in the sun as they sail into battle. They have truly become the dreaded pirates we know, today!
Now, these pirates from the west have broken the last line of defense, and have brought their frightful ships and cannons to our land. They seek only one thing: to conquer this ancient and rich continent, and then one day, the world!

Before putting their feet in the water of bringing a whole new class into the world of Conquer, the chief developer did some research to make sure they can successfully blend new content into the current world of Conquer. And fortunately, they were able to locate more than enough to use!
We’re here now to present the latest info surrounding the upcoming Pirate class to all the gamers out there on, as well as the CO lovers.
As you know, the image of the pirates on the big screen always seems to come as a villain with rapiers and pistols, perhaps even some types of explosives or grenades. In fact, these new weapons are set to be woven into the very fabric of the world of Conquer!
In the fight with other sailors at sea, the weapon that was most likely used in close combat would be the rapier. Because of the salty air and constant presence of sea water, pistols would be all but useless in such harsh conditions. Now, there may not be a lot of action on the water in Conquer right now, just wait for future posts to reveal more details about what's to come with the villainous Pirate!
Coupled with the skills revealed in the previous blog posts here on, the weapons are going to be quite different when compared to other skills for the rest of the classes. Many fear that firearms will negatively affect the balance in Conquer, but in fact it's not going to be overpowered, since the skills like Hercules and Radiant Palm will remain powerful.
There'll be more details about the Pirate class to come, so just stay tuned for the next update!
As always, please feel free to ask questions in the comments, and we will try our best to answer them all!

Pirates to Blow Up the World of Conquer!

It’s been a while since last update of the Dev Blog here on Today we’re here to continue to talk a bit about the upcoming would–be introduced rising class – the Pirates, of which the previous 4 skills have been revealed.
From all CO lovers’ point of view, they will discriminate against this idea that the Pirates can be mixed into the world of Conquer, an ancient Chinese society. But flipping through the pages of the history, the Pirates can be found and proven to be a presence in ancient China.
Since the east coast of the China mainland nears the maritime area, the Pirates came ashore from the east. For the time being, the explosive powder had been invented in ancient China as well, so there came into being the time–honored bombs. And in order to survive the worst circumstance, the Pirates became masters of rapier and guns, as well as the bombs.
The last two skills that will be adopted in the game will be put forward below in detail and perhaps you the gamers can learn a better idea of how the concept fully unfolds.
Pirate Skill: Gale Bomb
The Pirates can throw a bomb into the targeted area and deal damage to all opponents in the area, in the meantime all opponents who are under attack will be repulsed.
The direction in which each target repulses is decided by that of the explosion.
If the target is at the center of the explosion, they will drive back in a random direction.
If there’s a mask or a barrier that the targeted player cannot come through, they will be bumped to the nearest place next to the mask or barrier.
Pirate Skill: Scurvy Bomb V1.01
The Pirates can throw a bomb to the targeted area and deal damage with a fatigued status to all the opponents in the targeted area.
In the fatigued state, it costs the players 5 extra stamina to perform skill.
The fatigued state can be dispelled by Monk’s Tranquility or Serenity.
And all the skills have been put on the table for all CO gamers on to inspect, I suggest many gamers would wonder if there’ll be any changes to the Pirates from this point forward. As a matter of fact, we are all open minded so any suggestions can be heard here as well as on the Suggestion Board on
