Today, what comes to us is the 6th skill for the Pirates. Do you know what sort of weapon a pirate will be holding while he charges into a fight? I guess that’s not terribly hard for you guys to figure out!
Amongst all the weapons in history surrounding the notorious pirates, one of them is the sword called the “rapier”. It generally refers to a relatively long-bladed sword, characterized by a complex hilt which is constructed to provide protection for the hand wielding it. Gentlemen used them for dueling, and Pirates used them for just about everything. You can think about the scene from the movie `Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl`. Jack Sparrow and Barbossa fought with each other in the final battle using rapiers.
Pirates were often forced to become privateers at sea, and gradually they turned towards the more illegal methods of plundering, only increasing their power and the thrill of looting and pillaging. So obviously, they made good use of all the weapons they could get their hands on!
The skill for this particular weapon is named “Blade Tempest”. A pirate must equip a rapier to use the skill. When you want to use the skill, just move your mouse over the target and click on them. The pirate will move in a straight line to the point you clicked, and deal damage to any players/monsters along their line of travel. Targets also have the chance to be stunned by the skill. However, stamina and a range limit will be in effect, so it’s not something to waste!
It looks fascinating, since pirates are seen as epic swordsmen when it comes to the rapier. I bet you all wouldn’t want to miss out on this when it comes out, right?
As always, feel free to ask questions in the comments and we will try our best to answer them all!
