Well I know I am not a hard-core blogger myself. It has been a long time since I wrote a post here, and I noticed I got a lot of view's and and a decent amount of posts. I am going to sit on my couch here and pretend I have a short, bald guy wearing glasses and carrying a notepad who only pretends to be interested in my problems, and vent my issues to you all.

I have been playing mmorpg's for God knows how long now, as I said in my others posts. I have become non-content with the state of games now-a-days. Flashy lights and pretty graphics have consumed the game developers minds. Not all, but most of them. I cry out holding my stuffed teddy bear "Where's my long over-due excitement and in-depth content." I have been in the process of designing a game. For now its only paper and ideas but in the long run as an aspiring game designer I hope to one day see it published.

I have taken ideas from every nook and cranny of the forums. Picked apart my friend's and family's brains for what they feel makes a mmorpg good. Everyone's ideas stream together and yet are separate in flavor. Today I ask you gamers of all sorts to "Lend me your strength." Give me some ideas on what you feel would be a good aspect to an mmorpg. Anything works. I want your opinions and your own feelings on what makes a good mmorpg to you.

I may not have the know how to build one myself and program one myself, but all games start out like all ideas start out. You grab your paper and pencil, your sketch pad, your drawing board and just jump in there. It may take me days, weeks, months and years to come up with something truly good, but I am devoted to it. I want to see a game that doesn't cater to the whiny, that doesn't leave you hanging when in comes to enjoyment. I want something that will give each and every time you log on a sense of excitement. So as I get off my couch. stagger to the door and head to work today. I hope to come back and see some thoughts and ideas.

ahh, what any game designer should do, ask the public what they want to play!!! (i was recently doing research similar to your's as an aspiring game designer, although i plan to do it as a hobby, not as a career, a little bit slower paced) i recomend zombies, they work well in almost any situation!! no but seriously, dude,, zombies.. nah anyways, how about you shoot us some of the ideas you are working on, and we can go from there? of course dont release any information that could viably be stolen from you, would never ask such a thing, but give us a launching platform! im sure gamers could go on for hours about what they want to see in an MMO, personally the one thing i would really, and have really wanted to see as of late is better A.I for NPC's.  Smarter NPC's would be a decent way to make the games content more In Depth, npc's that are capable of making decisions, im sure it can be done, its done quite a bit in single player games. ( take the A.I from the grunts in Half-life 2 as an example, very well constructed A.I) or as an upcoming game swears it has an eentire NPC faction that has its own incredible A.I. the technology is out there now, you just have to know how to implement it to your own purposes. and remember.. zombies..
