So far, my adventures in mmos:

ASTA: uninstalled

Last Chaos: uninstalled

Runes of Magic:would be uninstalled today.

Now, the list of things I may be trying to install:

Perfect world: if only it has option to completely avoid pvp

Forsaken world: if it's free and avoidable pvp

There are some others, but they are either buy-to-play (no free trial) or I am not sure about avoidable pvp.

Colourfull answers

First of all – I want to thank everyone for answers. Never had I received so many quality answers.

Lotro: content in 2017 confirmed. We would be alive and maybe even perform poor multi-cultural society (orcs, goblins...) genocide, destroy Precious Precious. What happens in 2018, nobody knows. Sailing away with grumpy xenophobic Elves?

Last Chaos: today would uninstall. Sorry, folks, you just can't make game to actually work.

Runes of Magic: my new mmo. Shiny shiny, generic generic...just to spend some time should you mmo be down. Generic races. Generic classes. Colourfull, shiny things around. Playerbase on EU servers: low. I have seen only PvE servers and some 3 players around my lvl.3 Elf Mage. One asked for duel, I refused.

My future mmo:

free to play

PvE or completely avoidable PvP (like in special zones only)

as much solo content as possible. Hence - raiding is not much important.

preferably - housing.  It just nice to have some nice place you could rest and/or decorate

Story, option to immerse into local world.

Guild wars 2 were really nice. I really enjoyed my tiny Asura and actually all Asuras. Such cute tiny creatures, inventors of stuff in the name of inventing stuff. I liked them. Later - enjoyed Human content when I could choose my origins (noble or low) that could influence what appears in quests. With Asura I got stuck at Golem quest - had to react at some lightinings...and it was impossible for me. Asked other players, but it was solo-only.  Plus, no "nuke-it-all" class like Lotro's minstrel. And regions: if it is lvl.20 region, your lvl.50 Asura would auto-scale to lvl.20. No "me Hulk, me smash" which I enjoyed in Lotro.

Age of Conan had some brute feeling, a bit lesser story (and yes, almost nude Tempest of Set). No "nuke-em-all" class. I remember one dungeon where my poor toon has always got beaten, no matter class or level.

Everquest II. Could be an option if not restrictions.

ESO: free trial weekends? Seriously? I mean - really really? Really seriously? Then it's just blessing for me: try,  see how things looks like...and later (maybe at Christmas) bring myself present.

Answers to questions:

I need story. Raiding could be reduced to zero. Lotro has nice story, Guild wars 2 has nice personal story.

Sci-fi with blasters, spaceships or plasma-graviton-annihilator so far is not an option.

Wildstar is a candidate, even if it is blasters/spaceships

ESO is a candidate for neariest free weekend.

Las, last Chaos

I have purchased almost all Lord of the rings online content for Turbine points. Some of them - 4000 TPs and you get maximum 10 TPs for killing, say, 120 rats.

I have tried to make Last Chaos (mmo with such name) actually launch. Win7 are updated. NVidia drivers are updated. Game and everything in its directory are added to all exceptions.

Still, launcher is launched and freezes. Support told to add to antivirus exceptions, but my antivirus did not do any harm to these. Now, I am told to add X-Trap ("anti cheating software") to all exceptions. Problem is, I can't locate it. Downloaded Xtrap folder from some forum.

Last Chaos would be uninstalled, if forum upload does not help. Sorry, Last Chaos, I made enough efforts to actually launch your game. I do have patience, it's just not endless...

I still play Lotro. I enjoy content, especially when I disabled xp for my toon. My lvl.95 Champion with his great sword crushes everything in his path, levels Legendary items and prepares himself for Westfold.

Meanwhile, still thinking about any f2p pve fantasy game with minimal restrictions.

Wildstar? Could be an option, though sci-fi

SW-TOR? Fantasy + severe restrictions.

FF-14 was reccomended, but it is pay-to-play, not for me.

Last Chaos: game that just does not wish to launch.

Istaria: been there, done that, little wish to grind for thousands of tokens, turn them in, level up another school...and so on.

ESO could be an option. Just dear developers, please make demo version. I could buy, but only after I accustom myself with your game.

Still have one weird idea:what if there exist any other game that could make me feel like in Lotro...and was not listed in my post. Old or new, just if only it was f2p, pve, with minimal restrictions and preferably with housing.

New home after Lotro

Lord of the rings Online have announced they would be creating path to Mordor, so we all see Black gate and then weed-addicted Hobbitses destroy multucultural prospering civilization.

Would Lotro end agter Destruction of One Ring? Nobody knows. My guess is - it would. Ships would sail, grumpy xenophobic Elves would leave, Hobbitses would have nothing to steal, Dwarves would mine mithril untill mitthrl ends...

I am still in search for new home.

Well, does not fascinate. Tried Mage - kind of good. Offensive skills, not so many defensive.self heals. Could nuke, but nothing like Lotro's Minstrel (AoE nuker, powerfull heals, bikini-armour). Switched to some Necromancer, but was unimpressed:weak build. Tried Cleric, this one is healer, but once again - weaker than Mage. Tried Fighter - things were better, however there were not enough dps. And yeah, single-target attacks.

Rift is game without soul. You can play, you can't immerse, you can't follow somme NPC or care aboiut them in this multi-coloured world.

Everquest II

Did not try/ Just read about limitations. No global chat, no auction house, just run and enjoy life in silence. Sorry, E-II developers, not going to try this. For such restrictions, I'd better play Runescape. Or Istaria.

Elder Scrolls online

This could be ab option. However, they are buy-to-play and I do not wanna risk. Any trial, no matter with what limiations, would be nice. Another thing that frightens me is "dynamic combat". I am accustomed to static one: you stand, monster stands. You use attack, monster dn't need to dodge, evade etc. ESO does feature stuff like this. They could be an option - if only I could try them. No matter, for some time (say, 1 week) or some level (say, lvl.10).

I am running out of ideas about new home. Any PvE, fantasy (noin sci-fi), crafting game with very light limitations for f2p and (optionally) player housing would fit.

Once again: anybody has ideas (except Aion, Terra,, GW2, EQ, EQ2 and other mentioned in post before)? It could be some old game, i really don't care about graphic. It could be grindy, I am not afraid to work.

Gaming advice

I have to adress community of

I need your advice – every single thought from every single person reading this.

Lord of the rings online most likely would be gone withing 1-2 years. It experiences 75% decrease in profits, it remains with 3 developers (instead of 10).

New game is needed:

PvE (no PvP or an option to turn pvp completely off)

Preferably - fantasy (like Lotro)

Crafting that I may produce stuff for myself

f2p with minimal restrictions.

Preferably - any type of housing

Lotro's Minstrel type class (ranged healing dps with light armour.

Unfortunately, I have tried many games.

Istaria (liked, but stopped playing)

Guild wars 2 (still have some toons)

Age of Conan (tried, but warm atmosphere)

Everquest II

Dragons propget

And some others.

I do need your thoughts about next game should Lotro close.
