Was I Really On A Quest?

In my most recent Secrets Of Mirage gameplay video, I spoke with an NPC and believed I got myself a quest because this NPC wanted me to find her Lucky Coin. She lost it in the forest and she thinks it was picked up by a monkey.

I decided to do the quest and went looking for it around the immediate area of Port Ipsen. I went to a few locations and eventually found the forest but I did not find the Lucky Coin. I guess I was not lucky enough to find it. Ha ha ha!

I kept searching around and even found a few locations I was not looking for like the Arena and a few other areas but, unfortunately, I didn't find any Lucky Coin. I went back to Port Ipsen and decided to give up on the quest but, was I really on a quest?

I asked this question to myself because my Quest List was empty. If the NPC did give me a quest then it should be listed in my Quest List but it was not. My best guess is that it was not a quest but just an NPC saying something that I misunderstood as a quest. T_T

Oh well, I'll try again the next time I play the game, Secrets Of Mirage.
