Oh,were to begin – For the second time in over five years I, Jestor Rodo have been Perma banned from Star Wars Galaxies and all other SOE games. Muhahahaha, like that has any meaning. Its not like SOE has any game worth paying a Sub for anyway.

What has made me concerned is the manner that my account was banned. SOE changed my password and then prevented any access to the account without any notification whatsoever. Now I really don't care that this occurred to me but I know that SOE is now doing this as a common practice and because of that I followed an old familiar path , working with SOE customer Service. The following is Emails with My Former gaming Host -

Then I replied - Customer (Nathan Sully)02/19/2010 07:25 PM Why wasn't this information made available to me when this banning took effect and just as a matter of record since it was not initially provided to me, what was the exact reason for this banning?

Alright then , this is a great question but SOE could never give me a specific answer. They just love that Jestor – Ok then this request gets kicked up a notch -

Thank you for contacting Sony Online Entertainment. Your account has been banned for violation of community standards. I will need you to update this please to the best of your ability. Please update the ticket through the service history on site. I have opened the front end of the account and updated the password to sony123 to access the ticket. Please update the accounts password as soon as you can. Thank you for your patience and We will get this resolve as soon as we can. Access your ticket trough go to the "Service History" tab and it will ask you for your station name and password, if prompted with a security issue click continue anyway or allow, after that go to the "Questions" section and you will see all your tickets there, click on the subject of the one you want to update or review and you are in the right place.

I have also closed the other ticket as the file size was getting to large it was not allowing us to process the ticket any longer. The reference is in the subject line if you need to refer to that for any reason and it is tied in to my notes on the account. I am sorry for the inconvenience of this situation. We will get it resolved I am sure.

EIGHT Emails later they gave me a temporary password to supply the information above.

Then a New Person replies :

I will send a request over to in game support to get additional information on why the ban was permanently reinstated. This is not to say that we will be releasing the ban, this account was already released from a ban on a last chance. But hopefully I will be able to get a more specific reason for why this was done. I will let you know as soon as I here something back.

Hello, Lead GM Xeqt here. Your account has been terminated due to its history and current inclination toward disruptive activities. This includes the ability to post to the SOE forums. This action has been reviewed and approved by management. It will not be overturned.

Oh BooHOO _- That is a Far cry from anything Specific but typical considering the source but
the real reason restated as my parting shot -

“To be Honest with you , I am not really concerned about your company’s decision but the way you went about it. Password manipulation with no communication seems highly irresponsible and unethical way to treat your customers and since you have sensitive information linked to the accounts with those passwords you should allow access to that account information, no matter what the status of the account. Its my hope for your better business that you reconsider this practice in the future.

As you can see by the timestamps this whole process took one week and all of this could have been avoided by one simple email about the status of my account. What a shame.
