The Secret World “Digging Deeper” Mission Walkthrough

In this post we are going to give you a walkthrough for the new mission “Digging Deeper” which is one of the missions from the upcoming patch.

Here are the details on where to grab this mission:

Location: Kingsmouth
Mission Giver: Henry Hawthorne (284,474)
Mission Type Investigation

Tier 1: Find the entrance to the Illuminati Tunnels

You need to find the hidden entrance to the tunnels which are under Main Street. To find this you need to head to the Town Hall.
If you search outside the front of the Town Hall you will find a location that is clickable.

Once you find the loose pavement you will click on it and find a trapdoor.

Next up you need to open the trap door. When you click on it you will get a screen that shows you a keyhole with an engraving of “Clavis Aurea” – this is Latin for Golden Key.

Now head into the Town hall, upstairs and to the room at the end of the Hall.

You will see a big golden key on the wall..

Next up run back down and enter the tunnels.

Tier 2: Explore The Tunnels

You need to head through the tunnels until you find an Aged book on the floor and then pick it up and read it. Next if you head back to the start of the tunnels and go left you will come to a wall with loads of symbols on it.

You need to select the Eye symbol first and then the Talon and you should see the door open!

Tier 3: Explore The Tomb

Upon entering the tomb you will find a lever, a note and a symbol.

Pick up the note and inspect the symbol.

Once you have read the note you need to open the Southern door.

This time head back to the start of the tunnels and go right.

You will find some more symbols on the wall and you need to click the Pyramid symbol.

You will see a door open on your left.

Tier 4: Explore The Southern Tunnels

Now you need to solve a letter puzzle and you will find a note on the floor.

The note will give you a bible reference and you will need to use the letters to make the word: “ABYSSUS”.

Once you have done that the door will open.

You will get another puzzle here and find a note on the floor.

You will need to find the missing notes to a tune and these are A,E,E,G,G.

You need to match the notes to the levers and here is how you do that:

A – 2nd Lever
E – 1st Lever
E+ – 1st Lever
G+ – 3rd Lever
G+ – 3rd Lever

If you have done that part correctly the door will open to another puzzle.

You need to confront the statues in different ways. So you need to applaud the discus throwing statue.

You need to pray to the angel statue.

You need to spit on the soldier.

You need to cover your eyes for the snake statue.

Tier 5: Explore the tomb of Solomon Priest

Here you just need to go in and inspect the note.

You then need to exit with the ladder at the start of the tunnels and you should have just completed “Digging Deeper”.

With the recent announcement that Issue #2 “Digging Deeper” which is the latest patch for The Secret World has been delayed again we decided to look at what exactly you will be getting once the patch has been released.

There is no set date for release yet, it was meant to be on the September 13th but has been put back for another week. So we predict that you will be looking at the 20th September or further for this release.

Let us take a look at what we have to look forward too:

You will have 4 new Investigation Missions:

Digging Deeper
Singing Stones
Death And Axes
Strangers From A Strange Land

You will also have a new action mission called:

Venetian Missile Crisis

As well as that there will be 8 Lair missions:

Blue Mountain

City Of The Sun God – Citadel Of Pain
Besieged Farmlands – Midnight Mass

There is also the Barber shop and The Plastic Surgeon if you want to change your characters appearance.

There will also be a few dungeons that will have Nightmare difficulty!

The Secret World Hell And Bach Mission Guide

Today we are going to be looking at the Hell and Bach mission and I will give you a solution to complete this one. If you don’t want any spoilers then you should stop reading this and come back once you have tried to complete it.

However if you are looking for a complete guide to builds, missions and PVP on TSW you should check out the full TSW Domination guide.

Here is the walkthrough for the Hell and Bach Mission:

Zone: The Savage Coast
Starting Location: Daniel Bach (724,841)
Mission Type: Investigation

Tier 1: Examine Bach’s Research Notes – All you need to do here is examine the notes on the table behind you.

You then need to go to room 13 and search for clues.

You need to check the book which is Wicker’s Journal on the floor by the bed. You will swap to an instance and if you have a look at the Journal again you will see what you need to work out!

If you click on the rug that is on the floor you will get the clue to the first puzzle which is a séance circle.

ORDERINT DUM METUANT  means:  ”Let them hate as long as they fear“!

Now you need to use the Journal to decode the message – just click each symbol from left to right as they appear in the journal using the séance circle.

If you have done this in the correct order it will activate and Wicker will appear.

Tier 2:

Next up you need to travel to the location in the photograph.

You need to head to the New York Sewers.

The co-ordinates are 290,287 and you should head into the building, keep moving down and when you come to the tunnels head left.

You will find your next séance circle – you need to activate this one and if you look around you will see more Latin:

It is on a metal cabinet in the sewer near your location and it says:

“Non Sum Qualis Eram” which translated to:  ”I am not what I was”

You need to do the same as you did before but you will find that you do not have a cipher for S,Q or L and you will need to just use trial and error for this part.

Once you manage to activate this one Wicker will appear and Tier 3 will start:

Tier 3: Travel to the location in the second photograph.

For this one you need to head to London.

Head into the basement that you will find at 163,203.

Make sure you look up at the celling and you will get another clue:


It means “The World Is Not Enough” – you just need to solve this in the same manner as the previous two wheels.

You will see the Wicker again and then can move onto the next step:

Tier 4:

Search the room for more info about Wickers past.

Go to the table and you will find another Journal to read.

You need to do a bit of translation of the Journal here but it will read: TABULA RASA       SEPTIMUS

So you need to head over to the Tabula Rasa in London.

Once you get inside but the “Access key – Septimus” from the Concierge and then turn around and click on the floating cube to be translated into a secret room.

Once inside head over and listen to the tape as well as examining the brief case.

You need to head to the location on the flier next.

You will find where you need to go in London at co-ordinates 298,268.

You just need to walk up to the door and click the note and you will get to see the last lecture by Theodore Wicker!

The Secret World “Carter Unleashed” Mission Guide

Today we are going to be looking at one of the new missions that were included in the latest patch. As mentioned in previous walkthroughs if you want to try and solve this yourself and not have any spoilers then I suggest you look away now!

If you are looking for a complete guide to the mission and are having trouble completing it however this post will help you.

Furthermore if you are looking for a COMPLETE guide to the game for ALL missions and advice on the best builds as well as dungeon walkthroughs then you need to check out the full TSW Domination Guide.

Let us move on with the “Carter Unleashed” walkthrough.

Zone: The Savage Coast
Starting Location: Carter (307,369)
Mission Type: Action
Reward: 7,500 PAX and 2 Tokens

Tier 1: Assemble A Charged Ward Generator

You just need to look behind you and search the table for “Montag’s Notebook”.

Also make sure you pick up the W.A.N.D Anima Manipulator before you leave the room.

You should find 7 familiars on the first floor and you need to kill them or round them up and bring them through the door so the ward will kill them for you.

Once you have dealt with them you need to pick up 7 Anima charges.

Once you have them head upstairs to the Headmaster’s office and pick up the Portable Wand Generator.

Combine the generator with the charges and assemble it using the W.A.N.D. manipulator and you will get a Charged Wand Generator.

Tier 2: Find A Way To Open The Maintenance Door In The Basement

Now you need to head downstairs and enter the Innsmouth Academy Basement which is a solo instance.

You will find Carter inside and you will also need to find the Source of the Familiars and you will need to use your new Wand Generator to protect yourself from Carter. Basically Carter will at some point burst into flames and you need to right click the wand as soon as Carter starts this. This will put you in a protective bubble.

Apart from that you need to just work your way through the basements killing familiars as you go.

You will come to the maintenance door and find it locked.

Keep going and you will find a control panel.

Just use the panel to open the door.

Tier 3: Kill The Flesh Abomination

Once you get through the door you will need to take on the Flesh Abomination.

You just need to watch out for when you get a swarm of familiars. Remember to use the Wand for protection if you are having problems.

Once you have done this you just need to go up the ladder to complete the mission.

The Secret World The 3rd Age Mission Guide

In this post we are going to give you a guide for The 3rdAge Mission in The Secret World. This is one of the new missions that you will pick up in Egypt.

NOTE: If you are looking for an in-depth guide to all of the missions with walkthroughs and pictures check out the full TSW Domination guide.

Here is the walkthrough and remember if you want to complete this yourself or you do not want spoilers look away now!

Zone: City Of The Sun God
Starting Location: Nefertari – (295,900)
Pax: 25,000
Tokens: 4

Tier 1:

First off you need to search the camp for Artifacts.

All you need to do to start off is he to the green arrow on your map.

You will find the Artifiact at co-ords: 422,877 it is a clockwork key.

Next up you will need to search the camp for cultist’s excavations and you will find a map of dig sites at 427,879.

Tier 2:

Now you have the new map you need to go to the first excavation site. You will find this at 355,839.

Here you will find a little robot and you should activate it.

Follow him and he should lead you to a big skeleton and point up. You should now be at co-ords: 382,790. To find your way up the skeleton you need to head too co-ords: 421,758.

You will find a weird piece of metal about half way up.

Tier 3:

You need to consult the map and head to the next excavation site.

You will find another little robot to follow at 353,478.

He will stop at 378,466 and point east.

You need to find what he is pointing to and it is a lever that is quite difficult to see on a rock. You will find the lever at 390,469.

Once you use the lever a cave will open and you can go in to get another strange metal piece.

Next up you need to have to the next excavation site and you will find another little robot at co-ords 35,617.

He will stop and point towards a spider web you need to break this and get the next metal piece.

Now we have the fourth excavation site and it follows the same formula.

Find the robot for the fourth site at 105,392 and he will lead you to 63,385 and points west so you need to turn right and follow the path.

Keep on going until you come to some rocks.

You will arrive at a Locked Orochi transport container and if you are having trouble finding it you should be at co-ordinates 12,377.

Use the laptop and you will get a password clue “Horse feathers”.

Now this is referencing an old black and white film from 1932 and you need to go and check out the script to get the answer:

Here is the part of the script that will help you:

Baravelli: [through speakeasy's door] Who are you?
Professor Wagstaff: I’m fine, thanks, who are you?
Baravelli: I’m fine too, but you can’t come in unless you give the password.
Professor Wagstaff: Well, what is the password?
Baravelli: Aw, no. You gotta tell me. Hey, I tell what I do. I give you three guesses. It’s the name of a fish.
Professor Wagstaff: Is it Mary?
Baravelli: Ha-ha. That’s-a no fish.
Professor Wagstaff: She isn’t? Well, she drinks like one. Let me see: Is it sturgeon?
Baravelli: Hey, you crazy. Sturgeon, he’s a doctor cuts you open when-a you sick. Now I give you one more chance.
Professor Wagstaff: I got it. Haddock.
Baravelli: That’s-a funny. I gotta haddock, too.
Professor Wagstaff: What do you take for a haddock?
Baravelli: Well-a, sometimes I take-a aspirin, sometimes I take-a Calamel.
Professor Wagstaff: Say, I’d walk a mile for a Calamel.
Baravelli: You mean chocolate calamel. I like that too, but you no guess it. Hey, what’s-a matter, you no understand English? You can’t come in here unless you say, “Swordfish.” Now I’ll give you one more guess.
Professor Wagstaff: …swordfish, swordfish… I think I got it. Is it “swordfish”?
Baravelli: Hah. That’s it. You guessed it.
Professor Wagstaff: Pretty good, eh?

So the password is “Swordfish”.

Once you are in the laptop you will see the passcode for the box which is 1053.

Next up you need to assemble the metal pieces you have.

Tier 4:

You need to find out what the key is for and for this you will head over to 371,256.

It is dark in here but you just need to head straight forward.

Head to the room at the end of the hall, then take a right towards the door.

You should now be at co-ords 609,170.

Once you get inside simply click the Sarcophagus to complete the quest!

Do You Need A Secret World Guide To Get The Most Out Of The Game?

Today we are going to look at the question that quite a few players of The Secret World end up asking:

“Do you need a guide to get the most out of TSW?”

The MAIN reason for this is because although it is an MMO just like World of Warcraft it has changed some key concepts that you would normally link to a game of this type.

For instance:

Leveling – In a game like World of Warcraft you simply kill mobs of creatures and complete quests and you will “level up” so although there ARE guides for the game and it will make progress quicker the longer you play the game will equal the level you get too. For instance in WOW you could stay around the starting area and if you killed enough creatures you would eventually level up all the way to the end without seeing anything of the game.

In The Secret World you don’t have levels so to speak, you have your build which makes your character more powerful but progress is made by completing quests. These missions are tough and you will have to actual research online to find some answers!

Builds – This is another difference in TSW as in World of Warcraft there are trees that will complete your build and you just select your playstyle and put your points in place. However in The Secret World it is very open ended and although there are starter builds called “decks” it is still very easy to mess up your build and then you will not be able to change it.

Crafting – This is linked with builds as you will need to understand the crafting system to make weapons and items in the game. This can take a lot of time to learn.

Although you don’t NEED a guide to play The Secret World if you are having problems with the game it is most likely going to be down to the build system and the missions. So it really can help having a good guide that at the very least gives you some hints and tips for some of the tougher missions.

The Secret World 'Funeral Crasher' Mission Walkthrough

Today we are looking at another mission that was included in the latest 1.1 patch for The Secret World. This one is called 'The Funeral Crasher' and it is fun but can be a little tricky.

Before we begin bear in mind that there will be spoilers so if you don't want spoilers make sure you don't carry on reading.

If you are ready for some help we will begin...

If you are looking for more in depth help and a full guide to all builds and missions in the game check out The Secret World Domination.

You grab this mission from Blue Mountain by finding Eleanor Franklin who is located at 850,290.

The mission will give you 4 tokens and 23,330 Pax Romana.

The first thing you need to do is find and use the Ouija Board which you will find right on the top floor at the back of the room on the right.

For the next part remember to have a pen and paper handy as the Ouija board will spell out a message for you.

If you have written it down correctly you should have a message that says:

“It Rages Locked Inside 23382IY”

Next up you need to find the location mentioned by the board and if you remember when the mission started in the cut scene you will have heard Eleanor talk about a commotion that she heard up the road.

You just need to head for the intersection to the right of the map.

Once you get there you will see a van in a ditch at 760,450 and you will need to investigate.

Once you get closer to the van you will notice the license plate which is “23382IY”.

If you click the license plate nothing will happen so you need to look for clues.

You will find 2 Orochi tablets here, one is on the right side of the van and one is in front of the van.

If you examine both of these tablets you will get a message, and the second one will send you to a website.

You will get some info about the “Manifestations Communicate” and you need to click on the blank document in the game after you have read this.

After you have done this the headlights will start to flash on the van.

It is actually Morse code!

It translates to “Death Walks The Lady's Path” - if you look on your map you will find Johanna’s Trail and that is where you need to go next.

When you walk down this path you will see a dead body.

You will also need to hug an Ak'rab and it will kill you! But this is meant to happen! Once you are in spirit form go back to the body and click on it.

After using the corpse it will float off and you need to follow it.

It will take you to more ghosts.

Once you get to the puzzle part you need to click “Condition 4”.

The main rule of thumb to solve this puzzle is to listen to the spirits and then click each one in reverse order to play the message back.

Once you have done this you will have completed The Secret World 'The Funeral Crasher' Mission!

The Secret World ‘Red Handed’ Mission Walkthrough

This is going to be a walkthrough of one of the new missions in TSW with the new patch. It is called “Red Handed” and is slightly different to other missions as it will involve treating patients in the game!

The crazy thing is that you will need to have real world knowledge of medicines so first we have a guide that will help you make the right decisions in the game.

The medicines that you will need to know are:

Boric Acid

Boric acid is a mild anaesthetic that is commonly used to treat fungal and yeast infections. It can also be used to treat skin conditions like rashes and acne. The aqueous solution can also be used as eye drops.


This is a prescription medicine that is commonly used to treat malaria it can also be used to treat parasitic infections that occur in the liver. The medical term for this is extra intestinal amebiasis.


This is used to treat anxiety, muscle spasms, seizures and also to treat alcoholics that are withdrawing from alcohol.


This is commonly known as Prozac and is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders and panic attacks.


This drug is used to help people that suffer seizures due to epilepsy. The drug also treats people with restless leg syndrome.


This is used as a pain killer to treat moderate pain. This drug works by changing the way the body reacts to pain.


Everyone will know this one! It is of course used as a mild pain killer.


This is Ibuprofen and is used to treat moderate pain and reduce swelling.


This drug is used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia and is only to be used by patients that have tired other cures and not been successful.


This is used to treat colitis which is an inflammation of the intestine due to a bacterial infection.

Ok, so now you know the drugs you will be using in the game we can get on with the mission guide.

Tier 1:

Make sure you follow these instructions carefully as if you get this wrong you will suffer a lock out for 5 minutes.

The goal is to read the ailments of each patient and then you will need to give the right medication.

You can have a go at this yourself by using the descriptions of the medicines and their effects above or if you want spoilers we will tell you the medicines to use below.

A good idea is to pick up all the meds and get them in your inventory at this point so you only have to select the right one.

Patient #1

Breathing Problems, Muscle Spasms.

Give Patient 1 Diazepam.

Patient #2

Headache, nausea, fever, vomiting. Blood test confirms presence of Plasmodium falciparum.

Give Patient 2 Chloroquine.

Patient #3

Fever, chills and severe shaking, confusion and dizziness, small red dots on the skin, rapid breathing and heartbeat.

Give Patient 3 Vancomycin.

Patient #4 is incurable and you will not be able to save them!

At this point it will mention a diary that you need to find.

Look on the table in the middle of the tent.

Tier 2: Read The Diary Of Dr. Varias

If you look at the left page it will mention chemistry.

The right page is actually the periodic table!

On a periodic table each element has a symbol and a number – you need to look up the symbols on a real periodic table and then get the number. You can use the number to work out the letter of the alphabet that this should be!

Very time consuming stuff!

I Asked The Old Drinkers at the Tavern About My Father Some Recalled He Spent Nights With His Local Mistress There.
“Good with a pitchfork and that is not all”
This woman is long gone, but perhaps something remains.

Next up head to the tavern in town.

Head up the stairs in the tavern to the room at the end of the hall and look at the picture in the room that has a woman with a pitch fork.

Examine the picture.

The map will lead you to a church at co-ordinates:  877,1212

If you head to the north east side of the church you will find a dirt mound which you should examine and find a buried lap top.

Tier 4:

You will get a message on the computer that reads:

There is a message written within us all.  My research is understanding the meaning of the message written between 45477804 to 45481340.

If you do a search on Google for these numbers you will find that the gene name is “UROD”.

If you do a search for UROD on Google you will find a page that says:

How are changes in the UROD gene related to health conditions?
porphyria - caused by mutations in the UROD gene

You can either try and find the page or get ready for a spoiler.

If you want the answer you just need to enter porphyria into the computer.

Once you have done this congratulations as you will have completed the TSW Red Handed Mission.

The Secret World ‘Crime & Punishment’ Investigation Mission Walkthrough

In The Secret World patch 1.1 there were some new missions released and today we will give you a walkthrough for the Crime and Punishment mission.

Bear in mind that if you want to figure out this mission yourself you should stop reading this as it will give you spoilers.

If you are ready to complete Crime and Punishment then the first thing you need to do is pick up the mission.

You grab the mission from The Savage Coast via Sam Krieg.

You will find Sam Krieg in the lighthouse.

Once you are there you should examine the discarded letter.

The letter will tell you that Sam had to abandon his car. What it doesn’t tell you is exactly where however in the letter it mentions that it is an intersection with a “stupid sentimental name”.

The road name is Lovers Regret, so you can find this on your map and you just need to go to the intersection.

Once you get to the car you want to use the GPS device that you see lying on the ground near the driver’s door. It will show you the location that Sam was heading to before he had to ditch the car.

Now the GPS will give you directions so you have to find your way from the car and follow the directions but remember they will be in reverse as you are going BACKWARDS.

If you follow them correctly you will end up at a gas station.

Once you get there you need to sift through the trash can and you will find the picture that Krieg mentioned in the letter. You will see the picture is of Sam and the obsessed fan that he was talking about.

You will find a website address there as well and the next thing you need to do is find out where the informant lived. If you are in a hurry the house is the large red one near the gas station.

If you go over to the house you will find that it is locked up.

You will need to use the coded entrance on the left door but of course you will need the code to do this!

Now this is the insane bit!

The same website that you visited you will need to go back to. You need to find the post where the guy is talking about his favourite books and take a note of the ISBN numbers. The code to get into the house will be the last 4 digits of ONE of the books!

This can change so you will need to try all of them.

Once you are inside you can head over to the desk in the corner with the PC. You need to enter a code into the computer and you will have a hint which is “Foucault’s Pendulum” – this is an actual book so you need to head over to and do a search for the book. Once you are on the actual listing you need the ISBN number just like you did before.

You must enter the full ISBN into the PC on the game. You will then be given a set of 8 inquiries that you will need to read through.

Once you have done that you have completed “Crime and Punishment” in The Secret World!

The Secret World ‘The Pick Up’ Mission Walkthrough

The Pick Up is one of the new missions in The Secret World for patch 1.1. It is a stealth mission and can be a little tricky so I have decided to write up a walkthrough for the mission.
Before you read on make sure you are ready for some spoilers as if you want to figure it yourself this walkthrough will spoil it for you so be sure that you need a walkthrough first.
You will pick this up from Che Garcia Hansson who you will find in the Hippie Camp in Kingsmouth.
You will also have need to complete Rolls Downhill first which you can pick up from the same guy.
It is fairly straight forward until you get to Tier 2 and then you will need to do some stealth work.
You just need to make sure you stay close to the left wall and avoid the cameras. Just time the cameras and stay as close as you can to the left wall and you will be fine.
Next up you will need to use the Security grid to neutralise intruders.
You need to click the electric grid box and as you do you will see that the faint laser moves towards the guards. If you click this 3 or 4 times you will have moved it up far enough so the guards walk into it.
Next up you will need to pick a door and you should pick the middle one – I have no idea if this is random so you might get a mob to fight.
You will now need to cross back over the security grid – this will require some thought as you will need to zoom in on the grid and find the path where no electricity is being conducted to plot your course.
You will then need to disable the security system and you will have 4 levers on the wall. This again might be random so you will need to try out the combinations but this sequence worked for me.
First Lever: Down
Second Lever: Up
Third Lever: Down
Fourth Lever: Up
Once you have disabled the security system you will need to leave through the maintenance tunnels.
Leave the room and turn left and you will see a laser grid but you will notice a gap here that you will need to quickly run through.
Once you have done this you will have completed ‘The Pick Up’ in The Secret World.
