The Bless Online site has been updated with a new developer diary to introduce players to the game's small-scale RvR mode called Peninsular War. Up to thirty players (15 on each side) take part and "experience the fun of battlefield combat with elaborate strategies and small amounts of players". This new game mode is expected to launch into Bless later today.

Once teams are assembled, each team will be given up to three minutes to prepare before the battle begins. The battlefield consists of four normal bases and one special base. Points are earned by capturing bases, which also happen to be the resurrect point on death. The goal is to amass 20,000 points within 15-25 minutes (or accumulate as many as possible during the time limit).

A variety of map features can be used strategically to each team's advantage, with teams needing to make intelligent decisions to hold onto property taken during the fight.

However, as we understand that it can be boring to always play with the same rules. Therefore we came up with ways to prevent our players from being tired of Peninsular War. Although the core rules will be the same, there may be different rules per week, and topographical features such as poison swamps and sky bridges depending on the season level rotation system. Victory will be decided by how well players make use of them to win.

Each season will have its own series of objectives:

  • Season 1 - collect useful items
  • Season 2 - neutral mobs that can be recruited
  • Season 3 - a sky bridge between strategic points
  • Season 4 - mana consumption and skill cooldown reduced

Of course, it's worth taking part to earn a number of rewards including Combat Points and Participation Points that can be spent in the Special Currency Shop.
