Blade & Soul Producer Nico Coutant has posted a new letter on the official site to talk about how the game has changed over the first four months of its life and gives a small peek ahead at what the balance of 2016 will bring to players and fans.
Coutant begins with a discussion of some of the quality of life improvements that have come to B&S since launch and admits that sometimes bots, spam and other forms of cheating are in the game and cause disruptions. However, he goes on to say, not a week goes by that the team isn't working to better cheat detection and the implementation of new ways for players to report those who are working against the stated aims of the game.
Within the past month we’ve been able to meaningfully combat Arena PvP bots and cheaters, reduce spam to be considerably less intrusive than it used to be, and make a number of game changes based on your feedback to address some of the most irritating issues. That being said, we believe we can always do better, and are working on a series of measures which should further improve the situation in the coming weeks. While we very purposely don’t share much information on this front—to keep from showing our hand to anyone intent on cheating—this is all part of a concerted effort which started months ago, and we appreciate your continued patience while we’ve worked on implementing both short- and long-term solutions.
The letter goes on with an infographic that shows what players can expect to see coming into the game over the rest of 2016 in terms of dungeons, items and in-game events.
Lastly, Coutant discusses what's coming to Blade & Soul in the immediate future which will be great news for fans: The Soul Fighter Class will be released on June 22nd. Players will enjoy an XP event, a free chracter slot for a limited time to prepare for the class release and bonuses for returning players will be added as well
