NCSoft has lifted a corner of the veil covering Blade & Soul, this time with an announcement of what the monetization of the game will look like in North America and Europe.
Over at Reddit, in the same thread that apparently verifies WildStar is going Free to Play, a Carbine Studios employee let the cat out of the bag that Blade & Soul is still coming to the West, and that it's already in Friends & Family beta testing internally.
German site Mein-MMO.de has stated that indicates NCSoft will be releasing Blade & Soul in either North America or Europe in 2014. While we'd all love this to be true, we reached out to Lincoln Davis, NCSoft Director, Corporate Communications who confirmed that this simply NOT the case. Blade & Soul is now anticipated to be released in North America and the EU sometime in 2015.
Steparu.com has unearth a new Japanese language teaser page for Blade & Soul. The article goes on to say that there is yet no word whether or not the game will be IP blocked for Japanese users only and/or when it will be released.
Blade & Soul 2 will be updating soon in Korea and the development team wants to keep its players thinking about what might be yet to come. To do so, they have released a brand new video that hints at a new storyline.
MMOsite is reporting that Blade & Soul will be entering Closed Beta even earlier than Guild Wars 2. Indeed, according to the MMOsite report, Closed Beta for Blade & Soul will begin sometime within the first half of 2010!

Blade & Soul, NCSoft's next hotly anticipated title was finally and fully revealed at this year's G-Star exhibition in Korea. Not satisfied with the epic nine minute length of their "Vision" trailer for Aion, Blade & Soul's reveal trailer clocks in at a full 11 minutes in length and shows off the game in all its glory. The trailer reveals four new classes, the Destroyer, the Force Master, the Blade Master, and the Kung Fu Master, as well as four new races, the Gon, the Jin, the Kun, and the Lyn.
