Today, Pearl Abyss released an update to Black Desert on console allowing cross play between the two platforms. As a result, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 fanbases are able to enjoy the MMORPG together, regardless of their platform choice.
As a result of this, players will be able to join cross play servers and hang out with their friends regardless of platform, or join platform-exclusive servers if you choose.
In addition to the cross play update, March 8th will see another one hit Black Desert, bringing Conquest and Node Wars to cross play servers. Also, the Archer character and Kamasylvia region have been added to the PlayStation 4 version of Black Desert, which brings the version into parity with the Xbox Version.
Black Desert will also see the arrival of a new in-game event to celebrate the cross play function, which will let new and returning Adventurers to get Cliff and Awakening weapon boxes through the completion of special event quests.
