Taming the Tamer and the UI in Closed Beta

Closed Beta 1 Key Redemption Now Available

The Black Desert Online EU team has announced that the key redemption page for Closed Beta Test #1 is now live. Players can log in to attach keys to their accounts in preparation for the launch of CBT1 on December 16th.


PvP with Purpose - Valencia to Utilize Karma System

The Korean version of Black Desert Online will be updating later this month with a host of new content. Most notably, however, is a new PvP system being put into place in Valencia. Under the new system, karma penalties have been reduced, no new penalties have been added, but players will lose experience on death.

Project Manager Reveals Changes And Other Details About CBT1

The DAUM EU Project Manager for Black Desert Online took to the game's official forum to reveal some new information about forthcoming closed beta-test scheduled for mid-December.


First Closed Beta Test to Begin on December 16th

Daum EU has announced that the first European / North American / Oceania closed beta event will begin on Wednesday, December 16th and run through Tuesday, December 22nd. Players will be able to choose from Warrior, Sorceress, Berserker, Ranger, Wizard or the Tamer classes. To show off the newly-included Tamer, Daum has posted a brand new video to show off the Tamer and the class abilities.


Daum EU Tackles Community Questions

Daum EU has answered a metric ton of Black Desert community questions on the official forums. They have taken on everything including mega-servers, service area, pre-order packages and more.


New Class Videos & Pre-Order Packages Revealed

Daum EU has unveiled several new class videos to get Black Desert Online fans excited about the as-yet unannounced closed beta test. In addition, the team revealed three pre-order packages for BDO that will give a variety of in-game rewards and early-access benefits.


Awakening Trailer Introduces Harbinger of Death Scythe

The Korean version of Black Desert Online is going to be updating on November 19th that will allow Sorceresses attaining level 56 to "awaken" a new weapon, in this case the Harbinger of Death scythe. To show off its awesomeness, Daum released a trailer. Check it out!


New Sorceress Face Template Incoming

Australia & New Zealand Now Part of Daum EU Coverage

Daum EU has updated the regions where they will be publishing Black Desert Online. In addition to European nations and North America, the team has announced that a new deal has been struck to publish BDO in Oceania including Australia and New Zealand.


Daum to Restrict IPs to EU and NA Only

According to the Terms of use for Black Desert Online for the European and North American regions, IP blocks will be implemented to restrict the player base to those specific locations only. Players from other worldwide locations will have to play the version licensed for that area.
