After backlash from the Black Desert Online community about the rather lackluster Tier 5 horse that came with the Conqueror Package, Daum has responded that new horses will be issued. The decision came after meetings and discussions with the developers, though the process took quite a bit of time. As a result, Daum has apologized to the community and informed them that Conqueror Package owners will receive a Tier 5 Female Horse and a Breeding Reset Coupon for female horse on May 6th.
“Hasn’t he been standing here since the game launched?” My brother asked. It turns out this particular NPC had and I then had to explain that as a starting area, many of the non-player characters were static or had fixed routes around set locations.
Black Desert Online is giving players a chance to take part first hand in the effort to hunt down hackers and cheats in the game. A new post on the BDO forum has announced the "Hacker Hunting Initiative" that gives players the opportunity to report bots, hackers and "disruptive hackers" (i.e. griefers). The reward? Elion's Tears and GM's Blessings.
Reports are coming in that nefarious players are using different ways to hack cooldowns and make them non-existent, and to hack Health and Mana in Black Desert in order to make themselves invulnerable. We've reached out to Daum Games, and received the following response...
I hate fishing in Black Desert Online. In fact, hate is a generous word: I absolutely loathe it. Every single MMO I’ve ever played always has a group of players desperately wanting fishing to be implemented and yet it has to be, without doubt, the most mind numbing profession ever devised. I’ve never once fished in an MMO and found it entertaining. In fact, I’m not even sure it’s possible to make it entertaining.

Players will be receiving a free character slot for Black Desert Online with this week's release of the Musa and Maehwa classes. The announcement was made on the official forums earlier today.
This question is largely going to depend on whether or not you enjoy having alternative characters. There was a time when I did and in almost every MMO I’ve played I’d have one of every profession (or class). Altitis was very real in my household and even up to playing Guild Wars 2 I had one of every profession maxed out. It’s only in the last year that I’ve grown tired of keeping my alts up to scratch - the pursuit of gearing them out or keeping on top of their levels is exhausting.
Two new classes are coming to Black Desert Online's EU and NA operations on April 20th. The Musa and Maewha (Blader and Plum) are hitting the live servers on April 20th in Daum Games' next big patch.
The Maehwa is the female counterpart to the Musa class and boasts similar stats. However, the Maehwa specializes in one-on-one combat with the impressive ability to lock down single targets for an extended amount of time. Calling the Facebook post "We got creative with MS Paint", the Black Desert Online team has posted a new image of the current EU/NA game world as it is with the recent Mediah expansion along with the size of the KR version and an even larger space called "future content". The world as it will appear after that is added is enormous to which the picture below attests.
The announcement by Daum that Black Desert Online had sold 400,000 copies was quite a surprise. Not because I wasn’t expecting some sort of announcement but because the figure struck me as particularly low. For what could be argued as the last AAA title for some time and one that - seemingly - has been anticipated for an age, it’s odd to think it’s had sales of less than half a million.
After last week's poll, Daum Games has let players know that the votes have been counted and that Auto-Path Looping has been enabled in game. This should be good news for players who have a regular circuit they travel and / or who want to loop a specific path while offline.
