Maintenance is now complete on both the Black Desert Online client and the site forums. With things back up and running, the official patch notes for today's deployment of the Valencia Part 1 update that brings a significant size increase to the game world as well as a number of new features and enhancements.
Daum has sent word that the Valencia Part One expansion for Black Desert Online will be released on Wednesday, June 29th after several delays earlier in the month. Valencia Part One increases the world by 30% as well as brings new weapons, armors quests, and accessories into the game.

Thanks to our own HoldenHamlet for this find: It appears that CD hacks and skill spammer hacks have been shut down in an unreported piece of recent updates. Reddit user Ninjamonke wrote that it appears that the death of these hacks is legit from statements made in the BDO bot maker's Discord channel from both staff and developers of the programs.
To anyone who might have heard a rumor that Black Desert Online Project Manager Daniel Loehr had been fired, please consider yourself disabused of the notion. We reached out to Daum EU's Rick van Beem about the rumor and were told that Daniel is a proud new father currently on paternity leave for a couple of months. While Daniel is away, an associate project manager has been appointed to keep things shipshape.
The Black Desert Online team has posted a brief note to let players know that the Siege System is yet again delayed. It appears a pair of "problematic" bugs have cropped up that prevents deployment of the anticipated system. There is no estimated time on when these issues will be resolved or when the update will be released.

The Black Desert Online team has posted on the game's official forum that the Siege War content update will be delayed two days and will be released on June 17th. The issue is a result of the NA/EU version of the game being updated with content that wasn't originally intended to be in the Siege War update but that will be added prior to Thursday's release.
As my last Black Desert Online column for a couple of weeks while I take a long overdue vacation, I thought I’d keep this outing much more light hearted.
