PvP with Purpose - Valencia to Utilize Karma System

PvP with Purpose - Valencia to Utilize Karma System -

The Korean version of Black Desert Online will be updating later this month with a host of new content. Most notably, however, is a new PvP system being put into place in Valencia. Under the new system, karma penalties have been reduced, no new penalties have been added, but players will lose experience on death.

What makes the Valencia PvP all the more intriguing, however, is the Jail System. Low karma players will be sent to jail on death. They can either escape prison or mine sulfur in camp. Jail time is dependent on how many players have been killed during a specific period of time, increasing for each dead player.

Players can earn positive karma by killing low karma players and sending them to jail. Doing so earns the "Seal of the Bounty Hunters" with other as-yet-unnamed benefits.

You can read more at Black Desert Foundry.

  • Guilds can build "sichugi" rigs to collect this crafting resource. Rigs can be destroyed or damaged by weather effects. Guilds will have to repair and protect
  • The cost of the rig depends on location
  • PK cities will see NPCs fight players with positive karma
  • NPCs can give quests
