It's Not Even Valentine's Day, But Love is in the Air & You Can Date an NPC

It's Not Even Valentine's Day, But Love is in the Air & You Can Date an NPC - Black Desert Online - MMORPG.com

The Black Desert Online site has been updated with a new post to let players know that they can now "date an NPC". The process is simple. Players simply need to check out the 15 available bachelors and bachelorettes and begin to "build amity" by choosing to give them presents. The process can be accelerated by using Marketplace-registrable items up to 50M Silver. When the Amity level reaches 1,000, it's time for the big confession of affection. But wait! That's not all!

Just saying "I love you" doesn't guarantee a return of affection. Over time, the lovestruck will receive an in-game letter if they accept and return the affection. Players will then have their own in-game lover and earn a special in-game title.

But there is a caveat:

NPC Dating can be enjoyed by all adventurers. Whether you become a couple or not is calculated based on the ratio "How much Amity you have with that NPC"/"The total Amity of all the adventurers who confessed to that NPC the same week."

So, even if you don’t have the highest Amity out of the bunch you still stand a chance! However, the higher your Amity is with the NPC, the better your chances.

Sadly, your newfound relationship may only last a week.

Players who become "lovers" with 5 NPC earn the Philanderer title. Those who score 10 times earn the title "Casanova".

Check out the details on the Black Desert Online site.
